0.33 l bottle from 'Rudat', 2025 vintage, best before December 2025. Hazy, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity-floral aroma of pineapple, bergamot and maybe a touch of menthol. Slightly sweet, gently bitter, quite fruity taste of pineapple, bergamot, rubber and light menthol, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly dry finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite off, not very enjoyable.

Ambar casi limpia de espuma normal. Aroma no muy intenso, bollería, notas ligeramente cítricas. En boca cuerpo medio, algo oleosa, perfecta de gas, ligeramente punzante y refrescante. Sabor muy agradable, de buenas maltas en la base, caramelo y contrapunto de tono frutal, naranja. Deja un rico postgusto entre dulce y amargo frutal. Sabrosa.

Dorada nebulosa, de espuma normal. Aroma intenso a jengibre. Nada más. En boca igualmente, el jengibre se come todo lo demás en un tono general muy especiado. El paso en boca es agradable. Pero no el sabor. Al menos para mi.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek' (online), best before November 2026. Clear, very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, quickly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, a little fruity aroma of caramel, burnt sugar and light raisins. Very sweet, malty, moderately bitter, a bit fruity and a little bready taste of caramel, burnt sugar, bread crust, raisins, chocolate and some pumpernickel, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite an interesting one, Malzbier with some punch.

Slightly hazy golden yellow beer with a white head. Aroma of sharp citrusy hops, flowers, pale malt. Taste of grainy bitter malt, flowers, straw, long bitter finish.

@ Festival Bochum. Watery fruity. Easy to drink, mild malty with a floral intense finish. Nice sessionable.

Bottle 50cl. from Alehub @home poured into a shaker. Clear pale amber colour, good frothy white head, mostly dissipating, light lacing. Aroma sweet malt, grain, light caramel, straw, grassy hops. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, light metallic notes, nice.

Die Optik zeigt sich opaltrüb und tiefgoldgelb bis hellbernsteinfarben. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone wirkt dabei flaumig und mäßig gut haltbar. In der Nase kommt eine sehr deutliche, frische und ausgewogene Malz-Hopfen-Aromatik an. Getreidig, brotig und heuig bis leicht kräuterig gehopft. Der Antrunk kommt frisch, süßlich, kräftig getreidig bis brotig malzig und ebenso kräftig heuig hopfenbitter. Im Mund zeigt sich ein schöner voller Körper mit kräftiger, angenehmer Rezenz, samtig-weicher Viskosität und mäßiger Trockenheit. Auf Gaumen und Zunge mischen sich leichte Süße und angenehme Herbe mit den bisher erwähnten Aromen von Getreide, Brot, leicht trockener Heuigkeit bis Kräuterigkeit. Sehr kräftig in Geschmack und Aroma, absolut ausgewogen und harmonisch - so wie ein Export eben sein soll. Und ganz ehrlich? Wenn das im Pott nicht klappt, wo und wie denn dann? Auch wenn sich die Aromatik relativ einfach liest, so ist es dennoch ein Bier, welches man sowohl genießen, aber auch sehr gut trinken kann. Es macht genau das, was dieser Stil verlangt und das bereitet dem Biertrinker einfach Freude. Im Nachtrunk bauen die Malzaromen sehr langsam ab und erst nach längerer Zeit stellt sich eine leicht trockene, heuige bis kräuterige Hopfenbittere ein. Mein Fazit: Sehr stilecht und richtig angenehm!
