330ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, moderately to mostly lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Slightly waxy, hoppy and chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, whiffs of pumpernickel. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately and slightly roasty, dark malty, fruity, notes of dark chocolate, some coffee, hints of plum, light mineral and metallic overtones, very subtle tartness; lingering, bitter hoppy and minimally tart-ish, herbal finish with a touch of sorrel. Slightly creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy palate, medium to fine, soft carbonation. Relatively complex, nice malt flavours, ephemeral fruitiness, sadly the waxy and tart-ish aspects increase with the passage of time, minimally light and watery - not bad overall.

Weak, pale malty and minimally citrusy, hoppy aroma, a touch of straw and lemon, waxy overtones. Taste is watery, sour-ish, citrusy fruity with a touch of infection, slightly mineral, bitter hoppy, minimally soapy, waxy hints of lemon peel, a touch of unripe quince. Watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Light and watery, fairly refreshing, light hints of infection - not convincing.

Rather weak, slightly grainy, pale malty aroma, grassy hoppy overtones, a touch of spelt, whiffs of sorrel. Taste is moderately bitter, grassy and minimally citrusy hoppy, minimally biscuity, pale malty basis, hints of lemon, a touch of sorrel, some mineral aspects, very light, additional hints of quince, protein and brioche; decent, bitter hoppy finish. Watery texture, dry palate, medium to fine, prickly carbonation. Cautious aroma, pretty good taste, nice subtleties - clearly above average.

Slightly citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, caramel malty background, hints of lemon, instant lemon tea, a touch of burnt caramel, minimally leafy overtones. Taste is citrusy fruity hoppy and caramel malty, hints of lemon, dark caramel, a touch of burnt caramel, some residual sweetness. Minimally oily, watery texture, slightly dry palate, fine, prickly carbonation. Rather heterogeneous hop and malt flavours, abit bit edgy overall - so-so.

Sweet-ish, slightly bready, minimally spicy, malty aroma, very light, yeasty fruity overtones with a touch of dried apricot. Taste is slightly spicy, bready, malty, moderately bitter hoppy, a very light fruity touch of dried apricot, dried date; lingering, hoppy finish. Watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Balanced, relatively intense, well hopped - very nice.

Minimally herbal spicy and citrusy fruity aroma, spicy, pale malty background, a touch of lemon. Taste is minimally artifical and sugary, citrusy fruity, hints of lemon, lemonade, some citric acid, widely disguised, minimally grainy and spicy, pale malty basis, light herbal aspects as well. Minimally oily, watery texture, minimally astringent palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Refreshing, well controlled sweetness, nice herbal and spicy aspects, not too artificial - above average.

Bottle (333ml): Pale golden with a greenish shen, unclear, medium-sized and slowly collapsing white head; bone-dry grassy to herbal nose; dry bitter flavour, light bodied to watery; shy traces of pale malt in the bitter-grassy finish. Pretty monotonous, not really sessionable…

Bottle, danke Günther! Clear red golden, lowish offwhite head. Classic citrus and stonefruit hop nose. Medium chewy body, fine sparkly, a hint chalkiness. Fresh fruity base, good balance, fine lemongrass/citrus, very drinkable.
