A golden beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has lots of strong perries, maybe hint of caramel in the background. Taste has perries, light grain and bitterness. Medium bodied. Fresh, so strong perries are surprising.

Not the best amber that I have tried in my life, not bad, but there are a lack of aromas, a bit dull and watery, malty, few apricot notes, 25.09.18, at Colmar, buying it through qoqa.ch

Pours 330ml @ gunnfryd. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and coffee. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, chocolate, caramel and coffee finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Fredagsøl på Kolonialen, fra fat: tørr, cremet og lekker. Nesten helt svart med utmerket skumkrone som varer så lenge det trengs. Mørkrøstede malter, nytraktet kvalitetskaffe, hint av mørke sjokolader og ristede nøtter. Jeg nyter øyeblikket.

170ml draught at Ølhallen. Filmy layer over a clear mahogany coloured body, dotted spots on the glass. Promising smell of grass and pale malts, semi-dry. Fine blended taste character of toffee, herbal hops and almond. Mid-sweet malt-hoppy ending. Medium bodied. Like it, (Tromsø, 17.03.2026).

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Black in the glass, declining fawn-coloured head leaving lacing rings down the glass. Solid chocolate malts on the nose, roasted and smooth. Powerful taste of rich malts, dark chocolate added by liquorice. Lingering roasted chocolate malty finish. Mouthfilling. Perfect sipper on a late Saturday evening. (Tromsø, 14.03.2026)
