Description
Kinn Bryggeri AS was incorporated in April 2009.

Here at Kinn we create craft beers in the English and Belgian traditions based on the purest mountain water from Sagafjella. Ancient craftsmanship - open fermentation and bottle conditioning - are important to us. None of our beers are ever pasteurised or filtered, and every one of them is brewed in our two breweries in Florø. Kinn beers are available off the shelf throughout Norway, and we also export to selected countries.

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy amber colour with a frothy white head that looks like cotton candy. Pretty much carbonation aswell. Aromas of pale malt, hay, sweet corn and some herbs. The flavour is fruitier with grapefruit, berries, herbs, and some wood. Has a soft mouth feel, and is surprisingly medium bitter. A decent beer, but maybe too much focus on the bitterness.

On tap at HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival, Drammen. Very dark brown (nearly black) colour, moderate beige head. Dryish roasty aroma, notes of coffee. Dry roasty flavour, notes of coffee and unsweetened liquorice, hints of ashes. Roasty and hoppy bitterness in the finish. Very tasty.

On tap at HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival, Drammen. Served too cold. Pitch black colour, creamy beige head. Modest aroma, mild roasty notes, coffee, dark chocolate and dust, hints of oak. Will probably improve as the beer warms up. The flavour is distinctly roasty with notes of strong coffee and dark chocolate, but is not very sweet. Packs a real punch this one.

Tap at Henrik. Has a very hazy straw yellow colour with a pretty small off-white head. Delicious fruity and sweet aroma with some hay and yeast. Much of the same things in the flavour along with belgian yeast, citrus, and some roast and wood in the end. Slick and good mouth feel, mediumt bitterness. A nice and a bit different tripel.
