Description
Kinn Bryggeri AS was incorporated in April 2009.

Here at Kinn we create craft beers in the English and Belgian traditions based on the purest mountain water from Sagafjella. Ancient craftsmanship - open fermentation and bottle conditioning - are important to us. None of our beers are ever pasteurised or filtered, and every one of them is brewed in our two breweries in Florø. Kinn beers are available off the shelf throughout Norway, and we also export to selected countries.

Some samples from a 0.75l bottle @ Kai-Sindre's (InBreak) wedding. This one pours a deep almost murky brown body with a lasting light tanned creamy head. Aroma has lots of dry cocoa, some chocolate malts and it's lightly sweet. Really nice actually. Lively carbonation, it has a thin and somewhat watery mouthfeel and it's quite light-bodied. Flavors are also dominated by that dry chocolate/cocoa found in the aroma, light yeast and it ends with some nice mild nutty flavors. Dry and kinda lasting aftertaste. Yeah, I quite liked this one, although it's not your "standard" Christmas ale. Did suffer a bit on the palate because of only the ABV 4.7%, so I'm really looking forward to trying it's big brother!

0.75l bottle courtesy of InBreak and shared with ClubGonzo and the rest of Bergen Tasting Crew. What a rarity! It pours a heavy clouded almost murky orange-beige body with a nice big light fluffy lacing head. Aroma is nice and light fruity-yeasty, it has orange-peel, some peppery spices, hints of cloves, malts and more fruity-yeast. Quite nice. It has average carbonation, a oily mouthfeeling and it's medium to light-bodied. Nice and refreshing flavors. Light malty with some good mild grassy and leafy-notes, cloves, orange, perhaps even some herbs? Ends light watery and malty with a nice yeasty and dry aftertaste. Good and refreshing stuff that I could easily drink all day long. Thanks for sharing KS!
