Bottle courtesy of Kostas at Kykao brewery had this at home Wednesday 21st August 2024 listening to Snapped Ankles - Forest of Your Problems we had homemade Chilli con Carne. This pours reddy amber, on reflection perhaps a little bit darker. The light beige head rapidly dissipates. Like the others in this series there are plenty of dried fruits on the nose, it's also a little wet woody also. These aromas translate into the flavours in the mouth, it's a bit like the Mercier version in that there is a little tart tang, perhaps even light funky edge presumably from the barrel ageing. A good barley wine, not too boozy, figs, the sweetness is good, the tanginess nice, there is a little caramel, nice.
