27 September 2019. Bottle from B is for Beer, Chania, Crete. Hotel room tasting. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours hazy black with a very thin, frothy, tan head. Aroma of toast, fondant, coffee roast, roasted nuts, earth. Taste is medium roasted bitter, lots of coffee, fondant, a bit powdery, on top of 'brown' bready & toasty maltiness; somewhat sourish & metallic but not disturbing. Dry, earthy hoppy finish, lingering toast & coffee. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Does what can be expected.

bottle from supermarket outside chania. aroma is sweet roasted malts and flowery hops, chocolate and minerla water. Very nice and quite clean aroma. appears chocolate brown, small brown head. flavor is chocolate, faint salty note, mild malts, good roasted black bread bready yeasty base. Very nice mild yet flavorful stout, sort of like a guinness but with more flavors, especially more chocolate and roasted notes. Very dry, none of the sweet hard roasted malty flavors you might get from an imperial stout. good one. Many mild stouts are sort of boring and too much of a brown ale, but this one really has body and flavor, yet is mild. good job!

bottle from supermarket outside chania, crete, away from chrissi akti beach, on the main road, open 24/7. Clear dark orange, small offwhite head. flower sligtly fruity quite malty aroma. also Ripe oranges hints of pine and grapefruit. flavor is malty, caramelly, spicy bitter, slighly flowery. not so good. like a well meant homebrew that went wrong. bitterness could be plastic flavored. tried this one again at the brewery, the off flavors were not there, and that leaves a decent apa, although it still is a bit (non-american) bitter and has hints of grass or straw. Tastes a little bit like belgian ipa's. Anyway, the one from the brewery did not at all have the plastic bitterness, so i have adjusted the ratings to match the one i tasted at the brewery.

Black, slightly oily with small beige head. Roast, choc and coffee aroma. Roasted flavour, a little coffee, a little licorice. Long roasted finish. Ok flavourful but feels a little thin.

5/12/2018. Bottle from Barley Cargo, Athens. Pours mid gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, malt, grass and caramel. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Some bitterness to finish. Quite enjoyed this one.

Bottled, thanks Jojje! Clear deep golden, small head. Mild grapefruit aroma. Mid sweet with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel - excessive carbonation. Mild grapefruit, some spice. Mid bitter finish.

Barva tmave hneda, pena skoro zadna, vune ipovita. Chut pekne vyladena, nekouka z toho zadna extra pachut. Zacatek lehky skoro az sladky, pak se rozjede aleovita ulpivajici horkost. Ale zadny brutal na to ze je to triple hops. Lahev

330 ml bottle at home. Almost clear dark golden amber color with off white head. Malty and light hoppy aroma, caramel, light bread and grainy, noble hops, grassy, light citrusy fruity. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Almost medium oily body with soft carbonation.
