Can. Pours inky black, medium tan head, decent lacing. Aroma is vanilla and chocolate indeed. Flavor is medium sweet. Light bitter, roasty chocolate with heavy handed vanilla. Full body.

After last night having few too many DIPAs nice to restart with few crisp helles. Light cloudy gold. Nose is some water crackers and hay. Tastes similar with touch of green wood. Crisp enough and goes down easy.

16 oz. can. Bold vanilla bean from the crack of the can. Flavor shows cocoa , coffee, roast and mild lingering vanilla in the finish. Alcohol is completely masked. Thick body and proper carbonation for a stout. Never gets overly sweet.

Undated can, drunk 3/18/22. Ebony with a small, tan head showing low retention. Smells of rich fudge, vanilla, cocoa and syrupy-sweet chocolate. Some light acidity on the end attempts to balance. In the mouth it's more or less punishingly sweet. There is some reasonable acidity and dark chocolate-like character but it just continues to get sweeter and sweeter with a ton of fudge as it warms and the glass continues. I will say, I may be overrating sweet stouts like these from Tree House and such, while panning this one because of its lack of a pedigree, but I do think this one is particularly too sweet, even more so than the double shot and triple shot series (Quad shots actually seem more balanced). A bit boozey, as well.

16 oz can from Tavour. Silky black pour, short lived fizzy brown head. Aroma is light roasty malts, chocolate, hint of vanilla. Taste is dark, bitter roast, semi sweet chocolate and vanilla. Light but lingering sweetness and bitterness.

Can (6/8/21) pour from Andover Classic Wines. It's an opaque black with nice sparkle and viscosity, thin cap of ephemeral fizzy light brown head and no lacing. Aroma is strong sweet & roasted malts, peanuts and milder vanilla and chocolate. Taste is sweet, almost syrupy, malt with milder vanilla and chocolate. Not a lot of peanut here. Mouthfeel is full bodied with thick, smooth, then foamy texture, soft carbonation, no sign of alcohol and crisp finish as taste. Overall, a sweet dessert sipper, to be sure. Adjuncts could have been a little stronger, particularly in the taste. Good but not great.

Can (3/12/21) pour from Andover Classic Wines. It's an opaque black with light sparkle, finger-width dark brown fizzy head with poor retention, mild viscosity and no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted earthy malt, toffee, chocolate, sandwich cookie. Taste is strong chocolate, toffee, creme, sandwich cookie. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with thin, smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, sweet with elements of the candies/cookies they used but not that identifiable. A bit thin. Good but not amazing.

16 oz. can picked up by tfontana. Thanks big pimp! Dated: 03-12-21. Aroma is soft chocolate with hints of caramel. The flavor shows Oreo chocolate, smooth caramel, and a little bit of bitterness in the finish. Which is much needed. The most positive attribute: it never gets too sugary or sweet. Wonderful!
