Can pour from The Beer Store, Salem. It's an inky black with ring of beige head, nice sparkle and viscosity. Aroma is chocolate, lactose, vanilla. Taste is roasted malt (almost smoky), lactose, lighter milk chocolate and vanilla, vague peanut butter. Mouthfeel is on the thinner side, smooth and creamy, lively/frothy carbonation. Alcohol is hidden, but the peanut butter basically is too. Disappointing.

16 oz can shared by tfontana. Thanks! Aroma is chocolate and vanilla? The texture is a bit fizzy and a little over carbonated. There is some peanut butter underneath the chocolate. Fizzy carbonation throws it off just a bit. Really wasn’t fair to have Angry Chair before this.

Brewery draught, 8/26/23. Gently hazy brass. No head. Mai tai-like nose with softening coconut. Juicy, malty, sugary. Tart notes from allspice, sweet malt but reasonable attenuation. Not getting too much al.ond, just light nut paste on the finish. Tartness is mellow, not punchy. Fairly balanced. A little sluggish and syrupy.

Brewery draught, 8/26/23. Clear, flaxen. Large, lukr-induced, white head with good retention. Paper, Lemon, fresh herbs and pepper. Bit of mineral and yeast on end. Quite clean. Malt a bit timid in the nose, just a bit of dry cracker. Lemony, round, lightly tart or almost lactic? Maybe not in a bad way? Like an heirloom yeast...though that's a pretty ambitious guess....it's crisp on end, very dry and crackery, with some plaster, herbs and light pepper. Low bitterness. Not sure what that milky character is. It's not off-putting, just unusual.

Brewery draught, 8/26/23. Dark, clear. Tan head clumped on edges. Light cardamom, light alcohol, oily roast, light licorice. Doesn't smell excessively sweet, so that's encouraging. That said, it also doesn't smell like much more than alcohol and cardamom... Rich, fluffy, creamy, wow. That's incredibly creamy; possibly the creamiest stout I've had. Vanilla is mellow and flavorful. It's malty, sweet, but balanced by gentle roast and spicy cardamom. Coconut is fruity and tasteful. Lots of spice lingering and a bit of glue-like alcohol and mild roast.
