16oz can at the June DC Rate Beer tasting. Poured a pitch black color with a medium sized brown head. Aroma was big chocolate notes. Roasted malts. Flavor was chocolate, peanuts. Alcohol actually well hidden here.

16oz can pours a pulpy, dark brown with a ring of grey head. Nose has roast, chocolate and malt, some nuttiness, cakey. Flavor has more candy, chocolate and peanut butter, malt, molasses. Chewy and creamy finish. Drinks easy...

Can (11/25/20) pour from Andover Classic Wines. It's a murky, cloudy, dark brown-garnet with trace sparkle, finger-width fizzy light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong cinnamon and allspice (like a winter warmer); mild earthy malts. Taste follows aroma, with mild maple and maybe the faintest hint of coffee. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, this is way too heavy on the cinnamon as it drowns everything else out. Mouthfeel is off--drinks more like a brown ale. Not a bad beer but weird for the style.

0/3 on these guys stouts, something must be up, or they can't stay fresh for longer than a week, no idea where these ratings come from. Was this the one that smelled like expo markers?

Something terrible happened to this bottle, but not infection-wise, it was just straight bottled water. No nose, maybe smokey finish. I'm going to take a wild guess and say it froze at some point, but even then the flavor would be somewhere.
