16 oz. Aroma is lightly bready, lightly grassy. Pours pale rusty golden with a half finger bone white head that falls into a ring somewhat quickly. Taste has a bready malt sweetness, faint bitterness and a little acidity.

16 oz can. ClarkVV hating on River Styx. But he isnβt a big fan of imperial stouts in general. However, this stout should probably remain cold at all times. I got light hints of roast and peanut butter. Unfortunately, also a long lingering harsh sour finish. They really did NOT need to add lactose to the stout! The fuck!? Pretty much a drain pour.

Can from Tavour. Pours hazy gold with a largeish white head. Aroma of citrus and ripe yellow melon. Med body or better. Flavor is citrus, yellow melon, pale prunus fruits, and light malt. Fruity, juicy yet well towards dry. Moderately bitter. Gets a little earthy in the finish. Delicious.

Draught at Power Beer Fest, 5/14/22. Lightly-to-moderately hazy, copper-golden-maize. Off-white head fizzles away instantly. Like the Oaked Apollo, this is just 100% oak in nose and flavor. Just phenomenally and laughably over-barreled. It's as if they checked on the beer at 3 months, noted that it was already over-barreled and said Ok, let's give it 15 more months. Coconut, pineapple, vanilla, toasted oak and grainy alcohol, all from the oak barrel. No beer comes through whatsoever.

Can at Power Beer Fest, 5/14/22. Dark ebony, untested clarity. Small, light-tan head shows low retention. I guess there's some peanut butter character here? Mostly just fudgey, syrupy, general sugar. Roast is low, acidity is low, sugar is through the roof. In the mouth it's...whoppingly syrupy-sweet. Peanut butter, vanilla, milk chocolate, gooey fudge and just an afterthought of acidity. Like the other beers River Styx brought to the fest, it was impossible to finish even a 1.5oz sample. River Styx - Beer for People with no Taste!

Draught at Power Beer Fest, 5/14/22. Bright, marigold and beeswax, lightly/minimally hazy. Rapidly fizzling, off-white bubbles. Holy shit. This is so over-barreled, it's laughable. There's absolutely nothing escaping the clutches of the oak here. In the flavor it's 100% toasted oak. Vanilla, coconut, mostly harsh wood and grainy alcohol. Impossible to tell what the liquid is. Slick, tannic and rather flimsy texture. Bad even by River Styx' very low standards.

16oz can from Tavour. Black pour, substantial beige head recedes to thin ring. Aroma is coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is sweet, light chocolate, all the other adjuncts wink in and out. Doesn't quite come together for me.

Pours a peachy pink, thin bubbly white head. Aroma of raspberry, peach. Taste has mild lactic elements, peach, soft guava, some stone fruit. Palate has nondescript fruit, more guava and peach. Good.

Can from Tavour to glass. Enjoyed on a walk with my kids to clear the house while my wife made a presentation. Great walk and great been. Pungent and tropical fruit. Hazed yellow with white head fading to a collar. Slight alcohol heat. Solid beer.
