Draft @ Moeder Lambic Italian Beer Festival ’12. Orangée brumeuse, col épais beige. Arôme est houblonné, léger en agrumes. En bouche, houblonné, malté note de grains pour un profile qui reste assez fleuri, pointe d’épices houblonnées et une touche de douceur.

Draft sample @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas // Italian Beer Festival // (a) slightly hazy amber with a white head // (s) is more preferable to me than the taste but both are good, fruity hops, apricots, tropical fruits, touch grassy hops & fruitier yeast // (t) carries the fruitiness of the smell, apricots & tropical fruits, touch spicy yeast; briefly but quickly goes into bitter floral hops, substantial amount of grassy hops, some malts, the fruitiness is a tad dominated by the lasting, medium bitter grass & floral, which carry less my preference // (b) medium carb. & body, easy to drink // definitely not a bad IPA

Draft sample @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas // Italian Beer Festival // (a) dark mahogany black with a tanned head // (s) roasted malts, strong coffee, mocha, cocoa, yeast presence, darker but not black chocolate & touch dark fruits // (t)touch yeast heavy upfront, heavy cocoa, coffee, integrated roasted malts (no pure roast upfront), liquorish blending over into quite bitter coffee, creamy with the whole blending into some dark fruits, going out into raw but polished, seriously bitter coffee, cocoa, liquorish & warming alcohol presence, dark chocolate, serious, evolving finish on this one // (b) creamy, substantial, softer carb. // great, serious imperial porter, the style that got me into craft

33cl bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy dark orange to light red color, average sized off-white head that diminishes quickly. Smell malts, hops, a bit sweet. Taste is pretty thin, malts, hops, bitter. Low to medium body, low to medium carbo.

Bottle thx to benzai. Hazy deep orange colour with a big off-white beer. Smells lightly bitter, lightly hoppy, lightly fruity and fresh. Tastes slightly watery and thin, but at least it’s bitter, fruity and hoppy. Thin body, low to medium carbo.

Cremige, malzig-getreidige Noten zu Beginn. Angenehme Herbe, würzig, süßlich. Schokolade, etwas Vanille, geringe Bitterkeit. Ausgewogen, zum Ende etwas bitterer, die Schokoladennoten gefallen weiterhin, weich. 9/9/10/10/10/10

33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours slightly hazy dark amber with an off-white head. Hoppy nose. Aroma of dark dried fruits, caramel and hops. Medium body and carobonation. Sweet and fruity with a hoppy and bitter finish. Quite nice with a fairly long, bitter and slightly citric aftertaste.

Pours black with a small, rapidly dissipating head.Nose shows milk chocolate, roasted malt and corn-like notes. Tempting, apart from the corn...Similar milk chocolate and roasted malts as flavours, but very sweet. Needs more roasted malt and a stronger finish. End weakly.Body seems watery and the carbonation is too high.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours deep golden with a small off-white head. Fruity aroma with peach, citrus, caramel, malt and hints of pine and spices. Sweet and fruity with a bitter finish. Fruity and slightly spicy aftertaste with a lasting bitterness. Nice IPA.

33cl bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Hazy orange color, small white head. Smell a lot of grassy hops and wet grass. Taste hops, bitter, a bit thin but still full flavoured. Love the bitter and resin aftertaste. Low to medium carbo, low to medium body.
