Standard Belgian style blonde ale by Eeuwige Jeugd, from tap at some random hamburger restaurant in Amsterdam. Snow white, thick, membrane-lacing, stable and mousy head, hazy golden robe with vaguely greenish tinge. Aroma of white bread slices, unripe pear, green banana, raw pineapple, fresh potato juice, grass, chewing gum, green apple. Fruity onset, bubblegummy, green banana, unripe pear, sweetish with the standard amount of carbonation for a blonde; cereally, white-bready, ‘clean’ pale malt sweetish body, grassy and mildly bittering hops in the finish while the green banana aspect lingers. Not too sweet – contrary to many Belgian representatives of this easygoing style – but nevertheless a little bit boring perhaps. Does serve its purpose as an ordinary quencher, though.

Strong citrus nose. Hazy pale straw colour, fair frothy white head, mostly diminishing, good lacing. Aroma wheat, yeast, light lemon, some coriander. Taste medium sweet, slightly acidic, wheaty, light lemon, yeasty, spicy notes. Sweet and light citric aftertaste, medium body, watery texture, average carbonation. Not really a witbier and lacking character for a wheat beer, easy to drink but could be more refreshing.

Hazy pale golden colour, fair frothy white head, dissipating slowly. Weak aroma, pale malt, light lemon, some pine, bit yeasty. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, fruity, spicy notes. Sweetbitter aftertaste, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, nothing special but nice.

Hazy golden colour and a stiff white head with reasonable retention. Aroma's of citrus an grain. Retronasal it's citrussy and sweet fruit, but also light buttery or caramel. Flavour is light sweet with a hint bitter. Light medium bodied. Finish a little bit bitter. Decent for the style.

Bottle at home. Brewed by Anders. Clear mahogany with light beige head. Sweet caramel, pine, light red fruits, fresh figs, raisins, toffee, soft milk chocolate and light herbs and green hops. Over medium sweet and medium bitter. Over medium bodied. Quite alright, more like a Dubbel I think.

Tap at Proeflokaal De Kleine Deugniet. Pours hazy yellow with whiteish head. Aroma and flavor are fruity, citrus, grapefruit. Feels quite watery. Overall: okish I guess.

Can. Bronze golden pour. Aroma of creamy pine, grapefruit, bready malt and mango. Taste has strange creamy herbal grapefruit, bready malt, some caramel and herbal sweet pine. I wouldn't call this a neipa, this is a hoppy bitter amber ale. Meh.
