Cask @ the Fiddler, small sample. Clear dark brown color, short head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, dark bread. Bit bitter in taste, caramelly, hint of biscuit. Enough sweetness to back up the roasty bitterness, but a bit watery finish. Ok.

Cask @ the Fiddler, small sample. Clear golden color, short head. Aroma of spicy yeast, bit flowery and earthy hop, slight caramelly malt. Bit sweet taste, bit dry. Like a belgian blond without carbonation and the earthy cask notes. Just doesnt fit. Itβs not that bad, but not good either.

Cask @ the Fiddler, small sample. Slight hazy amber color, short head. Aroma of grainy malt, herbal, slight earthy hop. Bit bitter in taste, malty. A bit too malty, not clean enough. and a weird extra herbal smell makes it not really good.

Cask @ The Fiddler, large sample. Hazy golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of some flowery hop, bit grassy, nutty like almond, bit malty. Medium bitterness, slight nutty sweetness. Proper beer, best of the bunch.

Original review text: Pint on tap at the brewpub. decent white head. Very hazy blond pour. Nice bitterness. More of an IPA than a bitter. They werenβt sure of the alcohol %. Someone said about 4.5 and someone else said 5%

Tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is light malt. The flavour is weak bitter light sweet with a watery malt weak hop bitter palate. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. It looked like a decent pint, but thatβs where the love affair ended :-(

Cask at The Fiddler. Pours clear amber with a thick off white head. Aroma of caramel, malt and a little fruit. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Bitterness lingering in the finish and getting stronger along with some off-putting corn in the palate. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Dark brown color with creamy head. The aroma is too light. It has a light flavor of dark caramel; the body is thin, there is no chocolate; in the final as usual there is a light yeast astringency.
Too basic.

Black color with beige creamy head. Light aroma of roasted malt. Smooth mouthfeel with gentle roasted malt and some chocolate; medium-dry, with some liquorice too; the yeast is better masked in this beer, nevertheless the final is lightly astringent.
Drinkable.
