Keg at the Brewpub in Beroun Day 4 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 2/10/14. Clear mid amber / copper colourd pour with a lasting frothy cream head. Aroma is nutty toasted grains, jammy fruits and yeasty. Flavour is composed of sweet grains, toasty, nutty jammy fruits. Palate is fullish body, crisp and sweet. Very well balanced, hint of earthy. Tasty beer.

Keg at the Brewpub in Beroun Day 4 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 2/10/14. Aroma is big blue cheese and cured meats, roast and dung, earthy. Clear mahogany brown / ruby red coloured pour with a fleeting cream head. Flavour is tangy earthy dirt, straw, harsh roast, cow pat. Autolysis maybe? Palate is tangy, medium body, moderate varbonation. Somewhat infected.

Flavour is composed of caramel, toasted grains, grainy, light metalic in the finish, some jam, pretty clean. Palate is semi-sweet, moderate carbonation, nicely balanced. Lingering toast.

Aroma is fresh pils grains, ghint of earthy straw, subdued yeast. Flavour is composed of light pils grains, refreshing and crisp, some dirt, straw. Palate is light and crisp, touch thin. Very drinkable and refreshing, clean with a little rustic.

Aroma is grainstore, hint of honey, straw, hints of jammy fruits. Flavour is composed of great balanced, touch of sweet grains, straw and crisp in the finish, background jame and earthy spicy hop. Palate is crisp with highish carbonation. Fiish is nice and dry. Suberb beerUber drinkable.

Tap @ Pivni Mapa, Prague. Pours Dark Brown with a creamy head. Tart and Dusty. Fruity acidic and ashes. Infected!

Tap @ Pivni Mapa, Prague. Pours clear golden with a creamy white head. Grass and grains. Sweet and a bit herbal. Bready! Quite decent although nothing heartbreaking!

1 litre plastic bottle shared with JMD at HNB 26.12.14. Ebony. Pale brown head. Moderate aroma. Dark chocolate and coffee.in taste. Quite dry with light mouthfeel. Good drinkability. One of the better examples of this style.

En betryggende grizzly-størrelse (1 l plastflaske) hjemført i Holmens importkoffert: øl nr. 2 på Holmens siste aktivitetsdag i 2014. Brunsvart med højt varig skum. Aroma og smak av kvalitetskaffe kombinert med mørk sjokolade. Håper den bockølen vi setter i dag blir like velsmakende og lettdrikkelig. Time will show.

From tap at the brewpub 11.12.14. Clear golden. Foamy and persistent white head and lacing. Aroma of fine Czech hops and succade. Similar taste and aftertaste. One of the better pilsners of export strenght.
