About
The reason Jamie Emmerson and Irene Firmat started Full Sail in the first place was to build a company that was completely different from the ones where we’d previously worked. It wasn’t about business as usual. It was about finding our calling in life — about truly appreciating our “human resources,” and balancing work, life, family and friends in a way that makes life truly worth living.
Determined to make world-class beer in our own backyard, one of our first, and perhaps best, decisions was to invest in new, state-of-the-art brewing equipment. So we bit the bullet, laid down our borrowed cash, and spent the better part of 1987 installing the new system. Our love for the environment is what drives our sustainable practices, so pure water, local ingredients and responsible processes are poured into each and every tasty pint.

Bottle. Clar pale straw color with a lively white head,. Typical light pale malts and a touch of lime in the aromas and flavors. Not bad for what it is.

11fl.oz. stubby bottle. Pours a clear copper with a small, creamy, long lasting, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of toasted malt, bread, caramel, wheat, earth and herbal hops. Sweet flavour of toasted malt, caramel, toffee, bread, earth and herb tea with a smooth, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Clean and easy drinking.

355ml can from my local Natural Lawson. Pours golden and clear, even a bit watery look. Not much foam on top. Nose is soft, lightly fruity, hint of hops. Taste has more of these hops, not overdone but well balanced against lightly sweetish and fruity malt body. Refreshing and easily drinkable, at the same time well balanced and not too watery body. Pretty good.

Bottle from Albertsons. There was a time when a bottle from Full Sail was a treat. Sad to say those days are gone. This rather generic lager with fake, candy flavors is kind of weak and watery. Very pale, small foamy head, sweet, candy aroma. Tadte too is more of the lime flavoring, without much of a lager to back it up.
