A very dark red-brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet and quite spicy combined with notes of yeast, wood, raisins, citrus, and prunes. The flavor is sweet with notes of prunes, wood, and cowberries as well as hints of yeast and alcohol. The mouthfeel is quite carbonated.

(bottle) Cloudy golden to orange colour with a frothy white medium head. Malty, yeasty and citrus fruity aroma. Grainy (wheat-)malty and citrus fruity taste, fizzy mouthfeel, dry and fruity, slightly spicy finish. Quite okay Dutch Weizen Ale, also not world shaking.

Big thanks to maeib for this bottle, cheers Mark. Hazy orange with thin white head. Hop, yeast, tangerine, bit of cream on the aromas. All these flavours carry on into the mouth and are added to by some whiskey and candy sugar. Good fruit throughout and an extremely enjoyable beer.

Bottle from St Albans Beer Festival that I took home. Opaque very dark ruby/brown. Beige head. Not a lot of aroma other than some liquorice. Some fullness in mouth with more liquorice on the finish. Not much of anything else and certainly as an oyster stout a bit disappointing. Not rich enough.

Bottle, St Albans Beer Festival 2005. Hazy orange, beige head. Suspended particles. Some choc/orange with yeast flavour. Nice beer, I liked the hop/malt mix, well balanced beer.

Bottle. Amber in colour, with white head. Some raisins and prunes in the aroma. For a 9% ABV it’s quite easy-drinkable, even though there are some warming alcohol-taste. Fruity, but not much malt. Complex beer with lots of tastes from the first sip to the end. Thx to KØLF. (050923)

Bottle. Hazy, golden colour. Nice, white long-lasting hea. Fruity aromas, with an unpleasant hint of dish-washing soap. Lots of grapefruit-taste. Some alcohol in aftertaste, along with a little banana. Rating: 6-4-7-4-16-3.7. 050923
Bottle. It’s a slightly unclear golden beer, gushing out of the bottle, producing a dense, off-white head. Some small floaties too. The aroma is slightly, only slightly, spiced and sourish, with sugar and tropical fruits. A bit weak. The flavor is very fruity. Citrus and tropical fruits, quite a lot of white sugar and with a decent bitterness. Effervescent and full-bodied. The finish is bitter with white sugar. A quite nice one, but not entirely clean. Bottle, Arendsnest. I thought the bottle said that it was brewn by the Halve Maan, but at a lot of websites it is said to be from the Scheldebrouwerij. Clear golden color, short white head, looks like a blonde beer. Aroma of cherry, some spicy notes. Bit crisp and dry taste, yeasty, some cherry. Gets annoying.

Bottled at RBESG. Nut brown, nera no head. Sweet, somewhat syprupy and raisiny. Near full bodied with loads of caramelly malt and butterscotch. Light salty finish. Rich and intriguing.
