Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Deep golden. Honey aroma. Medium sweet with light body and rounded mouthfeel. Notes of linginberries. An easy going blond ale that hasn’t got too much to offer.

Cask hanpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Brownish copper colour with lasting bubbly beige head. I’ve always liked Cotleigh beers and this is no exception. Good hop/malt mix on the aroma. Hops have some earthiness. Malts are juicy and full in mouth. Finish has drying hop and a bit of herb. Fruits are red berry, bit of pear and red apple. Excellent session beer.

Cask handpull at CountyHotel JDW Ashford. Dark ruby colour with lasting thin beige head. Choc/coffee nose. Smooth in mouth. Good flavour carries on with goodish finish with is just a little it short. Would have picked this as a stout rather than an old ale.

[Cask at GBBF 2005] A brown beer with a small beige head. The aroma contains notes of caramel and nuts. While the flavor is sweet with notes of nuts as well as light hoppy notes in the end, making it dry. Nice one.

Cask at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford Wonderful creamy pale gold beer. Typical of Cotleigh beers it is well made with good structure and balance. Has citrus fruit but enough malt to balance it and the stronger alcohol gives it the body to carry it off. Good pint 3.9. Re-rate as bottle from Sainsburys. Deep clear gold with thin white head. Syrupy malt and some orange fruit hop on aroma. Some toffee in mouth, some hops on finish. More orange syrup fruit flavour. 3.4/5

Cask at Mogul, Dover Got a good Cotleigh aroma and feel about this beer. Light copper colour with a good balance of hops and malt. Very well made, light citrus acids and some bready yeastiness. Good beer.

Cask at Mogul, Dover Another excellent beer from this brewery. Dark red beer with roasted malt flavours and some fruit leading to a dryish finish with more choc/coffee flavours and rich fruit. One of my favourite porters.
