Keg at PoW, Farnborough. Aroma has dry peel with a hint of juice. Low key. Pale clear light gold. Thin foamy white head sticks to the rim. Dry. Peel. Tannins. Underlying hints of sweetness which are quickly overpowered. But as per the aroma it's all rather low key. Light. Thin to slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Bland.

Bottle from Waitrose, Wycombe. Deep gold, more fizzy than it needs to be. Up front it's quite sweet considering the bottle claims it's medium-dry; it does have dryness in the finish though. Taste is of tangy apple skins with sweet lemon and a light farmyard hint. Some woodiness comes through as you drink more, and there's a wisp of vanilla in the finish. It's quite drinkable; better than average, but nothing to make it stand out, which matches my general experience of Westons.

Bottle at home. Clear very pale golden, no head. Sweet apple, green apple, some CO2, sugar, citric acid, lime leaves. Sweet and sour, no bitterness. Over light bodied. Refreshing stuff.

I taste nothing, still got the flu. It’s waisted on me I know. I can feel sugars in the body and in the sticky sensation around my teeth. This must be fairly sweet and also a pinch acidic. It feels a bit cloudy, unclear. Boy I wish I could taste it.
