5.6/10 Appearance 6 Aroma 6 Flavor 5 Texture 6 Overall 5.5
Bottle from Baxters Whisky Shop, Fochabers. It pours clear amber with a thick white head. The aroma is brown bread, earth, toasted grain, cereal, leather and nut. The taste is bitter, spicy, dull toffee/caramel, brown bread, grassy, floral, earth and bit of cardboard with a dry, spicy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A fairly standard bitter.

5.6/10 Appearance 6 Aroma 6 Flavor 5 Texture 6 Overall 5.5
Bottle from Baxters Whisky Shop, Fochabers. It pours clear golden - amber with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, bitter - sweet, fresh, sweet orange, tangerine, touch of grain and floral accents. The taste is dry, light bitterness, toasted grain, porridge, soapy citrus, waxy citrus peel and floral notes with a dry finish. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. This is far from my favour style of beer, but this example is fresh and drinkable enough. A touch grainy perhaps, but overall ok.
