08/16/18, very nice Baltic Porter. Although I think pohjala has better, this is not bad. Hinted coffee and chocolate, smooth 9abv.

On tap at Pita Kabob in Visalia. Clear with and orange-copper color and moderately low off-white head. Overt fruit and slight pine aroma. Flavor is fruit and solid wheat malt. The alcohol is well hidden here, and this is way too easy to drink at this level.

16oz can from Tavour. Pours out a medium Amber with a foamy head that Fades to a small cap. Aroma is big, full hops ...in your face. Taste brings a nice sweet caramel malt up front, followed by the astringent hop should expect from a triple IPA. Kind of sweet and plenty bitter. Pretty damn good

Can from Corti Bros. Pours very dark brown with a creamy/bubbly dark tan head. Aroma is chocolate/chile. We're not talkin' Mexican Hot Chocolate here! Pretty much full bodied. Flavor is chile/chocolate/touch of cinnamon. I'm capsaicin sensitive and a single quaff started the water springs a runnin'. Yet it's very mild compared to Punishment and Crime, has a smoked chile aspect, and the cinnamon is in pleasing amounts. Not a hint of alcohol heat. This is fairly undry, but not sweet at all. It's not very hoppy for me, but the strong flavors make up for that. It is amazingly well done.

16 oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour with foamy beige head. Aroma is roast malts, some coffee notes. Taste brings in the hops, some fruity sweet notes, and the roadt malts adding a bitter bite. Lots of different elements for all palates to enjoy.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours dark brn/blk with a nice foamy tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malt with a tropical/citrus accompaniment. Med body or perhaps a bit more. Flavor is quite hoppy - citrus/melon (or maybe mango) with a large amount of dark roasted malt support. Dry tho. And bitter. Heat can be easily found when looked for. Sort of a hoppy, bitter near IS. It cries out for 6 months in a rum barrel. Or a port barrel. But for the sake of all that is good, NOT a bourbon barrel.
