Appearance: dark brown in the pour but looks closer to black in the glass with a finger's worth of khaki foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: bitter pine and grapefruity hop notes up front with some dark chocolate bitterness and a light coffee roast further underneath
Flavor: intertwines the previously noted aromas to a fine bittersweet quality; finishes with the bitter pine and dark chocolate bitterness
Texture: medium bodied, this is a sipper; some dry smoothness and some light "palate wrecking" capabilities come in but somehow they do not "slay the tongue" like I thought they could have, just seemed a little bit lighter than some other black IPA's
Overall: don't get me wrong, I do believe this was a well brewed black IPA I just think it needed that "extra" push to get it to be a great slayer of the palate.

Appearance: copper color with a two finger white foamy head which trailed off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: piney to citrusy tones with a nice clean maltiness
Flavor: seems to combine the prior noted aromas fairly nice to a bittersweet stature: finishes bitter through the citrusy and piney aspects
Texture: medium bodied, this is a sipper; some smoothness but also some dry notes seemingly coming from some light hop assertivness
Overall: not bad to me, I believe I could come back to this strong one.

Appearance: amber gold color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which settled off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: vast array of tropical fruity hops with some stone fruits as well; light malts
Flavor: bittersweet combining the prior noted aromas; finishes tropical fruity
Texture: medium bodied, this is a sipper; some smoothness
Overall: well, I believe the brewer did what they wanted to do - it's like drinking a tropical fruity punch and quite possibly on one's porch.

Appearance: black in the pour and black in the glass with a one finger khaki foamy head which settled off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: big milk chocolate tones coating some dark fruits and a nice level of clean coffee roast in there too
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to roasty quality flanked by a slight bitterness underneath; finishes mostly with the milk chocolate and dark fruits
Texture: medium to full bodied, great sipper!; some smoothness but also a touch of dryness rolling over the tongue - nothing overbearing - just noticeable
Overall: a very nicely done Baltic porter I would return to.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to snifter.
Appearance: dark brown close to black with a finger's worth of khaki foamy head which dissolved to leave some light lace along the sides of the glass
Aroma: milk chocolate, ancho chiles, some cinnamon and a light dose of vanilla, some light coffee roast far down in there too
Flavor: seems to do a decent job to blend the prior noted aromas to a sweet to spicy quality initially then adds in a little bit of roasty vibe underneath; finishes sweet & spicy
Texture: medium to full bodied; this is a sipper! light smoothness but also some triggering from the chilis to enact expected aggressive spicy tones to the tongue and the cinnamon allowing that to happen
Overall: this is a very well done beer and not one for the faint of heart. Be warned!

Aroma: slight citrusy to grapefruity and orange hop tones up front with a clean caramel/toffee malt base
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fair bittersweet quality; finishes slightly dry with grapefruity and orangey notes
Texture: light to medium bodied, somewhat sessionable; light smoothness but with some hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: nice enough West coast styled IPA I could return to.

Appearance: copper/orange color with a finger and a half's worth of white foamy head which tapered off gently to leave some light lace
Aroma: grapefruity, grassy and citrusy hoppiness with some caramel/toffee malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a bitter to bittersweet quality; finishes dry with grapefruity and citrusy tones
Texture: medium bodied, leaning into being a sipper; light smoothness but also noted dryness along the tongue
Overall: not a bad DIPA as it seems to be in the West coast style vein.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: burnt amber color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated gently to leave some light lace
Aroma: citrusy to piney hops with a clean caramel/toffee malt base
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fair and balanced hop to malts ratio of bittersweetness; finishes citrusy, piney and malty
Texture: medium bodied, this is a sipper; some smoothness but also some hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: nice as a TIPA, I could hang with this again if it's marketed as a West coast TIPA, but if I heard correctly they're trying to do this as a New England IPA, this would be a big nope on that style.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: burnt orange to copper color with a finger and a quarter of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: mango to dragon fruit to pineapple hop tones? I think...then with some bubblegum; light maltiness
Flavor: seems to do a decent job of meshing the noted aromas to a sweet to semi-bittersweet sort of quality; finishes with the bubblegum then even lighter notes of the previously stated aromas
Texture: light to medium bodied, somewhat sessionable; not as smooth as I was hoping because it became somewhat watery
Overall: not one of Dust Bowl's better beers, I think they might want to re-think this one.
