Tap at Cap Tap. Pours hazy dark gold with a white head. Aroma is lightly floral/fruity. Might be a hemp note - there is something kind of “green” lurking. Med body or nearly. Flavor is wheaty, but not disgustingly so. Seems a bit citrus, floral - still goin’ with veg/hemp note. Not really dry; not really bitter. Somewhat wheaty. Still the flavor is decent, it drinks easily, and would be a hook of a lake beer.

Tap at CBF 2018. Pours gold with a creamy white head. Aroma of vanilla and light citrus. Medium body perhaps. Flavor is vanilla and lite citrus. Fairly dry. Moderately bitter.

Tap a Cap Hop. Pours brassy gold with a white head. Aroma of passionfruit and perhaps pale prunus fruits. A little pepper? Something. Med body at least. It’s fruitily undry, but it is very passionfruit. Really ripe fruit I think. Some subtle pepper/spice thing. It’s not very bitter, but the passionfruit really makes up for that. It is delicious.

Can. Pours lightly hazy orange, medium white head, dissipates leaving decent residual and lacing. Aroma is dank, passionfruit, mango, pine needles, pot leaves. Flavor is light sweet and medium bitter, dank and resinous. Medium body. Definitely not a milkshake, and certainly more bitter than the canonical NE IPA has become, but this is a solid beer on its own merits. Not at all surprising given that the original Rapist is excellent. I guess on further consumption it is a fair bit hot, but otherwise excellent.

Pours a beautiful mahogany color from a bottle, thick fresh cream colored head dissipates leaving minimal lacing. Aroma is real licorice, real root beer. Flavor is similar, starts off almost cloyingly sweet (trying the beer fresh) but fades off into a pleasant bitterness. Pretty good beer.

Geez, sure wish I would have gotten more than one of these to seller after I had this one and see what they taste like in the future but oh well. This one has a great multi yeasty nose with a little fruit some alcohol chemical aromaz but also lots of malt characteristics. Nice appearance with a fairly long lasting head. Flavor is like aroma. Again more emphasis on the malts. But on the subtle yet complex way.

Bottle from Raley's. Amber body with soft, foamy head, clumpy lacing. Rich malty aroma, caramel, a hint of dank hops.Hops move forward in the taste, dank and resinous, Heat provides some burn on the way down. Nice, meaty body too. This one has it all.

Can from Cap Tap. Pours bright gold (no haze) with a slight white head. It is so dank - in a cat pee way. Med body or so. It is somewhat juicy, but it is ever so dank - there's a specific hop bite like green veg - not to mention other things it's hard to parse. Sort of like pine in the mouth. Pretty dry. Strongly bitter without harshness. Highly recommended for those who want an indecent amount of hop. And aren't too worried about balance. Note: Swirled the can half way down - then the pour was hazy!

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours hazy orangy gold with a white head. Aroma of citrus and celery. Treecats might go crazy with this. Med + body. It’s juicy, citrusy and nicely bitter. Celery didn’t make it into the taste. But there’s a lot of flavor here. Especially for a sessionable lager. Great ale.
