On tap at Pita Kabob in Visalia. Pours a slightly hazy purple with off white head. Lots of earth all over the aroma and flavor. The tea is pronounced on the flavor more than the aroma. Unique.

Poured from a bomber dated October 8, 2018. Aroma is hop and ester forward with a light cracker malt backbone and a hint of caramel. Grapefruit, pine resin and hints of tropical fruit with light stone fruit esters. Pours a fairly clear, brilliant, golden orange with a large, fluffy, slightly off-white head that shows nice retention as it slowly recedes to a thick film on the edges. Moderately high lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with light to medium light cracker malt notes and a bit of caramel. Strong bitterness, but not over the top. Moderate grapefruit and pine notes with hints of tropical fruit and stone fruit. Light alcohol notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent west coast IPA with hints of east coast yeast esters.

Can from Cap Tap. Pours copper tinged gold with a white head. Aroma of pale stone fruit, citrus and a coconut note. Full bodied or nearly. Flavor is heavy on toasted coconut, it's reasonably dry, it's very hoppy, it's bitingly bitter. Pale stone fruit and citrus are in it. Another nicely hoppy/bitter ale from the Dust Bowl.

Can from Cap Tap. Pours orangey gold with a slight white head. More translucent than hazy (I didn't shake the can). There's a lot of hop - seems dank - but the only aroma I can come up with (and it's on shaky ground) is apricot. Med body plus a bit. Flavor is very unusual. Started with something like pale stone fruit - then got a spike of something way out of the normal flavor range. It's kind of juicy - seems a little dank - a mystery to me. Not all that dry, obviously pretty hoppy (but mysteriously so for me), and bitter. I do not know what else to put down. Good thing I can enjoy a challenge now and then. Overall I do like it.

Bottled 2/22, drunk 8/3/18.
Clear, rose-peach. White head to ring.
C-hop heavy showing tons of orange variations but a good base malt behind it. Soapy and spicy on the end with no alcohol by this point and lots of marmalade lingering alongside light honey and hints of caramel.
In the mouth it's VERY soapy and astringent. Damn is that soapy...Good texture, soft and malty with engaging carbonation and good attenuation. This is clearly older than ideal, but even giving it a little leeway there, doesn't explain the burning soap character. Just too much alcohol here. Gratuitous.

16 oz from Tavour. Cloudy, darkish golden, skin of head. Musty, hoppy aroma. Taste really brings the hops, a bit dry and plenty bitter. Doesnt come off as strong, but a bit of late warmth.
