Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours clear dark amber with a large fluffy beige head. Aroma of light toasted malt. Med body. Flavor is the aroma with some floral and a tough of spice for hop. Not dry, but not excessively sweet. Almost moderately bitter. Clean. Almost crisp. Good okto.

Very crisp and clear copper and light bronze coloured body with a very thin, off-white head that fades very quickly and leaves nothing on top, even after a few seconds. Aroma of grass, light candy with some belgian, dry hoppy notes with some floral elements, but the candi sugar is evident here - very nice in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and herbal notes with a good layer of malt noticeable towards the finish with a perfumey and quite noticeable sugar finish on the end from some candy and flowers both here. Aftertaste is enjoyable with a decidedly perfumey and grassy hop flavour with some light dryness and slight resinous notes, but robust throughout and enjoyable as well. Overall, a pretty nice and balanced pure West Coastie IPA with some floral, grassy and perfumey aspects, but a good malt backbone supports the dry, grassy and perfumey bites throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Trader Joe's in San Francisco (North Beach), California on 28-August-2022 for US$1,75 sampled in my hotel room here in downtown San Francisco, California, a day later on 29-August-2022, the following day.

Very clear golden coloured body with a frothy and fairly large pure white head that fades quickly and leaves a pretty nasty lace up top. Aroma of light easy-going malts with some biscuits, wheat and especially rice noticeable in the nose here, with a touch of lager yeast and very little else. Light-bodied; Strong grassy and biscuity notes dominate up front with a lot of hay and flowers and some moderate rice notes with a clean yeast profile that doesn't show any bread or anything else that lasts. Aftertaste is clean and very easy-drinking with some moderate sweetness and a light kick of biscuits here, but no real hops to speak of, nor of any sugars - this goes down pretty easily, in a good way with a light body and some smooth malt notes. Good to sample and interestingly enough, this was one of the only beers that was NOT an IPA in the entire store! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Trader Joe's in San Francisco (North Beach), California on 28-August-2022 for US$1,67 sampled in my hotel room here in San Francisco, California on 29-August-2022.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. Aroma of citrus, pine and berries that aren't very dark. Arguably full bodied. Flavor is citrus/pine with something reminding of lychee - light caramel support. Dryish. More than moderately bitter. Good stuff.

Waxed bomber from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours dark brn/blk with a creamy tan head that fizzed away. Aroma of dark fruit, heat, brown sugar and some rye notes. Full bodied. Not dry, but not sticky. Flavor is rye whiskey, heat, brown sugar, dark fruit, roasty but not burnt malt. Well, maybe a little burnt. It's bitter - possibly from heat and malt. Very, very good flavor.

Can from Cap Tap. Pours amber tinged gold with a large foamy near-white head that rapidly collapsed with a little lacing. Aroma actually has detectable roasty malt, but a huge, non-irritating, hop aroma dominates. Arguably full bodied. Very malty, but towards dry. Flavors are disparate. Orange, dank, pale stone, yellow melon, and something that suggests wood! I missed the heat until I thought about it. Bitter, but not harshly so. They must have cleaned out the hop storeroom. It may or may not be the best DIPA in the world, but it certainly stands out in the pack. Wooooof!
