Description
The first real malting statute was confirmed by the municipal council of Iglau, as the town of Jihlava was called till 1948, in 1579. In 1859, all 123 owners of brewing rights in the town and surrounding villages joined in a new brewery, the present Jihlava Brewery. The brewery in Jihlava was opened in 1861, but the brewery considers the year 1860 as the year of its incorporation. From its incorporation the brewery had mainly German owners. After WWII it was nationalised and then privatised in 1995. In 2008 the almost bankrupt brewery was bought by the Pivovary Lobkowicz group. Under the new owners the brewery returned to the production of beer according to old original recipes.

Hyfsad folkis.

Can, 0.50l. Clear pale golden color with small and totally dimishing frothy white head. Aroma of mild malt, vegetables, dust with some metallic notes. Taste starts with light sweet malt, following is vegetably, while finish is mild bitter. Light body, thin texture and average carbonation in palate. Oh, crap...

Bottle shared by Dutchdrebus @ weekly tasting. Clear golden color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, grainy, decently bitter. Hmm this one isn’t as good as the previous one imo. Which one was that? Well, check my ratings cause I have no idea how to spell that.
