Bottle. Vibrant looking golden beer with a strong white head. The aroma is dry, and the flavour is very dry with a touch of yeastiness. Overall a nice golden ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask/GD at the 14th Egham Beer Festival at the EUSC, 28/03/13. Mid black with a good sized tan head that retains well. Nose is dark malt, light roast, dark fruit, caramel. Taste comprises dark malt, brown sugar, dark toffee, light chocolate, burnt notes. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, dry finish with light burnt tones. A decent enough strong mild.

Bottle from Memorable Cheeses, Ipswich. Poured out rather flat, minimal/no head and relatively unatractive. More enjoyable to drink, and certainly in keeping with the style it emulates.

Bottle at Chrisoโs Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012, London. Pours faint hazy yellow with a weak, white foam head. Straw and light grass in the nose. LIght sweet flavor, surprisingly bitter with grass and dirty straw. Light in body with average carbonation. Light dryness to finish, with more straw and some pale malts. OK.
