ABYSS is a forward thinking Micro brewery born under Lewes, East Sussex. From dark to light we brew modern beers with BIG personalities.

We believe in the power of beer to bring people together, we’ve always placed collaboration at the heart of what we do, whether brewing beer or working with the creative community and local charities. To date we’ve created new beers with our friends at SALT Brewing, SMOD/Saint Mars of the Desert, ATOM beers, Arundel Brewery, and PLAY Brew Co with many more to come.

Keg at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden, 05/09/23. Clear golden with a just off white cap that veers edgewards. Nose is bitter orange, grass, melon, citric tinged straw. Taste comprises mixed tropical fruits, melon, grapefruit, orange peel, papaya, hint of pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with balanced hop bitterness. Not bad.

Tap at Hop Locker 1, Southbank 06/08/2023 Vibrant fruity aroma and taste with a plethora of tropical and citrus fruit in play, getting some mango and papaya, tangerine, apricot, malty backing, robust hoppy close, very nice.

Tap at the Evening Star, Brighton 03/08/2023 Vibrant light fruity aroma and taste with some grapefruit and pineapple notes, pine, sweet malty backing, light bitter hoppy close. Nice one.

440ml can. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt and citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a freshly crisp, malt, light juicy lemon citrus, light pepper spice, light floral woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.
