Cask at GBBF '22 day 2, 03/08/22. Golden pour with a decent white cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is mellow citric peel, grass, soft malts, tangerine. Taste comprises melon, orange peel, soft malts, light breads, hint of stoned fruit. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow light juice laden hop bitterness. Fine.

500ml bottle. Gluten Free. Golden colour, bubbly white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of citrus, gooseberry, hoppy. Taste is malt, bready, with citrus, grapefruit, gooseberry and tangy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying citric bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Cask at GBBF '22 day 4, 05/08/22. Golden amber with a good sized lasting egg shell white cap. Nose is candied fruit rinds, orange peel, floral notes, grains. Taste comprises orange peel, caramel malts, light bready notes, floral notes, biscuit, Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close spiked with mellow hop bitterness. Not bad.

Bottle online from The Cheddar Brewery. Pours a murky amber colour with a thinnish bubbly off white head. Aroma is a little citrusy, pineapple and a touch of caramel. Taste has more citrus notes, a touch of orange and orange pith, very light hints of pineapple and caramel and also a touch of peppery spice. Thinnish body, low carbonation and slightly watery mouthfeel. Could probably do with a bit more body but still quite tasty. Decent.

From cask at the GBBF with Holmen1 and Stephen 03.08.22. Clear pale straw colour. Some white head. Aroma and taste of pale malt, lemon peel, and dried citrus. OK.

Bottle online from The Cheddar Brewery. Pours a slightly hazy light amber colour with a medium sized thick foamy lasting white head. Aroma is citrusy with floral and a little spice. Taste is again citrusy with notes of grapefruit and lemon pith, some more floral and peppery spice and also a touch herbal. Lots of fresh hop bitterness on the finish. Medium to full body, fairly low carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. A bit too much citrus bitterness on the finish for my personal preference but still a decent beer.

Bottle online from The Cheddar Brewery. Pours a hazy amber colour with a huge thick foamy off white head. Some sediment in the glass. Aromas of toffee, caramel and toasty bread with a hint of citrus orange, apricots and nuts. Taste is pretty much the same notes detected in the aroma with more apricots, orange peel and nuts coming through and also some peppery spice. Some earthy hops also on the dry finish. Medium body, fairly low carbonation and smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Yet another very decent Beer from this good Brewery.

Bottle online from The Cheddar Brewery. Pours a hazy amber colour with a medium sized creamy fluffy white head. Aromas of citrus and floral hops. Taste is again citrus and floral notes with a little bit of peppery spice and some nice fresh hops on the lasting bitter finish. Nicely balanced . Thin to medium body, fairly low carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Excellent considering the low 3.8%abv.

Bottle online from The Cheddar Brewery. Pours black with a medium sized thick creamy beige head. Aromas of chocolate, bovril, dry dark fruits, blueberries and sweet toffee. Taste has the same notes detected in the aroma with added roasted malts, a tiny bit of sweetness and some ashy notes on the finish. Medium body, low carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Good solid Porter without being great.

Bottle online from The Cheddar Brewery. Pours a slightly hazy light chestnut colour with a large thick creamy off white head. Aromas of citrus orange, toffee, caramel, biscuits and some spice. Taste is the same notes again with lots of peppery spice and more citrusy orange mixed in with toffee and caramel with mild pithy orange bitterness and also some nutty notes on the finish. A touch of sweetness too. Very well balanced. Medium body, low carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Well conditioned leaving nice lacing all the way down the glass. Lovely English IPA. Enjoying this very much and will be having it again in the near future.
