Brewed using the highest quality Pale Ale, Maris Otter and Wheat malts and hopped with a blend of American Amarillo, Cascade and Simcoe whole hops.
A pale ale in the new world style with a big citrus hop character and a thirst-quenching dry finish.

Pours a pale orange colour with a thinnish white head. Good flavour with notes of citrus peel, freshly-mown grass and herbs. Medium body but good, bitter aftertaste. Excellent hop flavour. Great flavour for the low strength!

Old rating - A 500ml bottle from the brewery, a gift from my wife. Pours a amber colour with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of tropical fruits, citrus & spices. Medium body. Fruity dry bitter finish. Very enjoyable pale ale for the low ABV.

500ml bottle close to its BBD, explosive opening so lost about 1/4 of it. Poured a slightly hazed golden, white head. Aroma of pine and citrus, grapefruit peel. Taste is predominantly grapefruit peel and juice, mandarin, pine, light peppery hop spice, light malts, lives up to its name with a big bitterness throughout. Light-medium bodied. Decent effort at a low ABV APA from a trad brewer.

Forholdvis pålitelige notater fra en travel dag på The Great British Beer Festival, London 02.08.22: klar lys gylden, ok skum. Lys malt, urtebitterhet, litt citrus og hint av furunål. So boring...

Cask at GBBF '22 day 2, 03/08/22. Golden pour with a decent white cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is mellow citric peel, grass, soft malts, tangerine. Taste comprises melon, orange peel, soft malts, light breads, hint of stoned fruit. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow light juice laden hop bitterness. Fine.

Bottle online from The Cheddar Brewery. Pours a hazy amber colour with a medium sized creamy fluffy white head. Aromas of citrus and floral hops. Taste is again citrus and floral notes with a little bit of peppery spice and some nice fresh hops on the lasting bitter finish. Nicely balanced . Thin to medium body, fairly low carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Excellent considering the low 3.8%abv.
