AROMA: initial low metallic note that fades. medium-low roasted malt aroma with hints of charcoal, roasted coffee and slight smoke. very low beer wort background with slight sweetness. APPEARANCE: very dark amber color and cristal clear. ruby highlights. low creamy ivory head, with ok retention. TASTE: initial medium-low notes of coffee-like, low charcoal. medium bitterness with a semi-dry to dry finish and slight roasted. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low to low body. medium-low to low carbonation. OVERALL: a nice NA black stout that just needs a bit more carbonation.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 12th June 2026. Hazy pale gold with just a hint of green and shallow whitish foam affording scant lacing. Tropical fruits, tangy spices and candies in aroma. Fruity and floral in-mouth with light citrus. Grasses and just a hint of dairy in the finish. Light bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

Can bought at Nisa Upper Beeding. Hazy-opaque dark gold. Thick fluffy foamy white head. Aroma combines light stone fruit with herbs and spice. Flavourwise it has a bitter resinous intro over sweet fruit and coconut. Peripheral sour citrus and herbs. Light. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice.
