Description
Platform was founded in 2014 on the premise that collaboration should be at the cornerstone of everything that we do. Whether it be with pro brewers, the home brewing world or a variety of other industries, beer is special and should be shared.
From humble beginnings, brewing on a 3 bbl brewhouse in Cleveland, Platform has expanded to a second Tasting Room in Columbus, a Production Facility in Cleveland, a Cincinnati Tasting Room named LOCOBA and a Sour Beer Facility named Phunkenship
We brew high-quality craft beers for sale in our tasting rooms and distribute throughout Ohio. Expect a mix of ever-changing styles inspired by beer trends.

Brown-black pour with a medium beige head that recedes steadily to a dense film. Sparse patches of lace. Aroma of malt, chocolate and coffee. Light-bodied with flavors of roast malt, cocoa and coffee. The finish is roasty with a coffee and chocolate malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap, smells like grapefruit. Big cloudy BS. Almost like light colored clay mud. Taste is spicy, almost some lemon in there. Yes, its an IPA, so what? I'm at mad mex and i'm enjoying it. Nice place. Helps me forget the bitterness of this. Whew, the IPA bitterness is so in yer face. WTF? You got it.

Had this on tap at Puff n Stuff in Robinson, nice place. Listed as chocolate almond stout on the menu. Simple clean beer nose, no hint of chocolate nor almond. Its big and black, like any stout should be. First taste is boozy treat. Then its followed by a sort of bitterness common with many alky drinks. Some hints of dark bitter chocolate but there is no sign of the almond. A little too over the top for my lager lovin taste buds. Warming sensations down the gullet for a finish. Not bad.

Sample during the All Horse Parade on 09/08/2019. Hazy gold color with a medium thick bone white head that dissipates gradually to a film. Sticky strings of lace. Aroma of herbal hops, fruit and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of resiny hops, grapefruit and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a dank fruity hoppy aftertaste. Above average overall.

Super crisp and clear amber and deep copper coloured body without any head at all - nice glow, but missing something up top. Aroma of squash, canella, nutmeg, grain and a heavy malty flavour that shows some 'dirty' earth and nuts, but the major smells all lie in the spices. Medium-bodied; Strong nutty and earthy flavours dominate up front with a lot of dry malts showing some grain, but mostly the squash and very pungent malt components with some peated malt and yeast noticeable with still a lot of spice elements from the canella and allspice and a dash of anise and coriander seed comes through near the end. Aftertaste is rather deep and pungent, but there are some nice and robust elements throughout with a bunch of sweetness, mostly caramelised sugars, but also some lighter notes from sweet potatoes do come through along with more spice. Overall, a relatively nice, very spiced and incredibly potato/squash-malt driven beer that shows a lot of flavours, most of them being strong, throughout with a solid complexity. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 22-September-2018 for US$1,99 sampled over a year later at home in Washington on 15-January-2020.
