Hazy blond. Thin head. Fruity, yeasty notes with a blast of herbal hops. Earthy, sweet pale malts and a dash of bitterness. Good dry saison...not upper echelon.

At the brewery during GABF week, 2015. Labeled as French Saison. Dry, lots of yeast character. Malt and some spicy hops, and I do not believe it is sweetened at all. Along with the lime gose, this was the best beer I tried at Ratio.

At the brewery during GABF week, 2015.Cloudy orange color. Some lime, salt. Well carbonated. The flavor is good if not especially strong, and the lime works well.

At the brewery during GABF week, 2015. Hazy orange color, it looks good. Aromas has yeast and wheat. A little fruit and actually some grit on the palate, which is perfectly fine with me in a saison. I get just a little plum flavor because I am looking for it. Some very light spice.

At the brewery during GABF week, 2015. yellow color. Simple flavor and aroma. Hops are light but there for some bitterness. One dimensional malt flavor that works well enough, dry finish. Very sessionable and easy to drink. I found it to be like a Kolsch.

Tulip at the brewery - milky orange/ruby color - nose has some mild peppery phenolics, Some grass, mild esters, subtle plum sweetness - I’m glad the plum is subdued in the flavor - it presents some up front, bringing a mild sweetness - gets a little drier through the middle, bringing some grass followed by moderate white pepper and a slight rustic character, finishing with slight acidity - overall, it’s a little muddy and yeasty - needs cleaning up so the different qualities pop rather than blur together.

Taster at the brewery - every brewery in Denver seems to be making a Gose these days, and so far they’ve pretty much all been crap, mostly because they’re all adding bullshit adjuncts to them and/or aging theM in whiskey barrels or some shit - this continues the trend by adding lime, which results in a beer that one of tastes like 7-up With the sugar taken out of it - fairly sharp acidity and strong lime, without much other character to it aside from some slight wheat character on the tail end - lame.
