Hold Steady with Novo Coffee 6.2% A dark scotch ale blended with cold press coffee. A deep dark brown cola pour. Nice soft coffee aroma with a sweet caramel hazelnut. Nutty and a bit bitter black coffee. This medium bodied beauty drinks smooth.

Dear You French Saison 5.5% on tap at the brewery. It’s a very pale gold with a citra dry hopped type aroma . Clean crisp light body with a really flavorful light malts and citra flavor with just a dab of saison spice.

Tulip at the brewery - a tripel with American hops and lemons? - what could possibly go wrong? - pours a hazy gold - nose is actually fairly nice - clean pils malt and fairly expressive yeast character - moderate esters and some spicy phenols, with no detectable lemon - flavor has similar characteristics - a little sweet, but a decent eater profile and a semi- dry and moderately spicy finish - however, the lemon comes through in the flavor and is a bit acidic and bitter, sharp - this makes it much harder for me to enjoy - just make it without adding the damn lemons.

Taster at the brewery - hazy gold with a frothy head - the grapefruit is hugely present in the nose and especially the flavor - so much so that this almost tastes like carbonated grapefruit juice or grapefruit soda - there is some soft wheat notes, light spiciness, a touch of sweetness on the tail end - high acidity - too much effing grapefruit.

Bottle thanks to Wchesser - pours gold white head - nose/taste of lime zest, coriander, sour wheat and sea salt with hoppy citrus peel - light medium body.

Pint at the brewery - dark Amber with an off-white lace - soft carbonation and texture - very sweet, with notes of toffee, chocolate, caramelized nuttiness - yes, it’s relatively hoppy for the style, but the sweetness certainly overpowers this - some leafy tobacco character - light fruitiness - eh, it’s alright - mostly clean, at least.

Tulip at the brewery - dark ruby pour - quite similar to the old ale I just had over at Spangalang, but smoother, less rough around the edges - Roasted nuts, tobacco, dark fruit, dark bread - moderate acidity cuts through the heavy maltiness - some plum, cherry, raisin - finishes with leafy bitterness, a hint of smoke and whiskey - actually pretty good.

Very cloudy, thin head. Light plum, bit yeasty. A bit yeasty and a touch of plum. Finishes with a bit of plasticy phenols and the plum remained quite delicate.
