Bottle from the brewery. Jet black pour, two fingers of mocha head. Aroma is tart, and very acidic. Roasty and chocolaty, with some soft oak, and vanilla. Mouth feel is oily, and not as thick as I expected. Carb is soft, and the finish is medium highly bitter. The barrel shows up more at the end, very earthy and the berries add a solid tartness. The berries are present but not the star of the show at all.

Black pour, with a large beige head. Aroma is loaded with coffee, burnt dark roast coffee, and light cocoa powder. Silky, full mouth feel, very soft carb. Finish is light to medium butter, strong coffee finish, slightly sweet, malty roast, nice stuff.

Can from the brewery. Hazy amber, large off white head. Obviously it’s similar to the other terroir project wet hop ale, but this one is alot more floral. More herbal notes and grasses with more of a pronounced pine hop flavour as opposed to a citric hope profile. Light bitterness, hints if citrus in the end, but alot of mind and grass. Interesting to see the differences.

Can from Sawdust City’s brewhouse. Different label than the Stone City entry, different hop bill, and different alcohol content. Pours a very murky orange, with a small white head. Lots of tropical and stone fruit in the nose with some citrus oils. Motuhfeel is thin, but vibrant and effervescent. Finish is quite sour, very lactic, and some of the oats come through in a sofe cereal character with more stone fruit.

750ml corked and caged bottle from the brewery. Pours a nice yellow gold, with a small white head. Soft fruity aroma, some light tartness and lactic notes. Strawberry sweetmess, some hints of rhubarb sharpmess, subtle green herbal notes. Big effervescent carb, lively mouth feel. Nice tartness, strawberry and rhubarb meld at the end into an all around fruity tartness, with some soft, almost buttery sweetness. Id like the rhubard to stand out more, but alas its tough to find. As the beer sits its melts together and the ingredients are hard to pick out. All around a nice, refreshing easy drinking fruity tart ale. Not overly sour, or sweet, soft and fruity sums it up.

Can from the brewery, looks like a new release, different beer, same name. Dark brown pour, nutty, roasty oatmeal and cocoa Aroma. Nice mouth feel, perfect carb. The finish is nutty with some great chocolate flavours. Light bitterness, cocoa powder, soft roasty malts. Quite enjoyable, a nice change to a heavy ipa summer.

Can from the brewery. Pours a clear slightly reddish beige with a small white head. The base beer tastes like a wheat beer with a very subtle tart raspberry Aroma. It’s pretty underwhelming really, the raspberry is very very faint, I expect alot more fruit finally Radler. This is basically a very subtle fruit beer. Disappointing.

Clear pale yellow, with a medium white head. Aroma is super grassy, sharp noble hops, grass saaz, crisp pale malts, a really lovely Aroma. Mouth feel is refreshing, carb is lovely. Finish is medium bitter, again, super grassy, this is super crisp and a great example of a North American take on a classic European style.
