A Barrel Aged Biere de Garde with tart cherries that pours an opaque orange brown with tart oak and sour cherry aroma excited my olfactory receptors. The flavor reminded me of Rodenbach with a nutty oak, tart cherry, light acidity and even some fudge notes. Really good. 3.8

Sawdust city there’s no way of knowing on tap at Bar Hop Brewco Saison with lemon verbana & grains of paradise. Cloudy light gold with a sweet lemon and tropical fruit aroma. Light bodied with a soft mouthfeel. The taste is quite good soft wheat, tangy grains of paradise, a bit of banana bread. I like it.

Can from the LCBO. Hazy pale yellow under a one finger fluffy white head that fades slowly and laces well. Nose is citrus, pineapple and mango with a hint of spice.Just the lightest hint of sweet malt and a moderate- citrus bitterness. Mouth is slightly thin with active carbonation and a crisp dry finish. This is a pleasant surprise. 8/3+/7+/3+/15

Very hazy golden and straw coloured body with a large, four centimetre tall pure white soapy head. Aroma of soured funk, lemons, wheat, coriander seed, sour candy and a lot of yeast - very nice and fresh. Light-bodied; Super soured flavour at first of citrus, coriander seed, curacao, yeast, lemons and more sour notes - very nice and super light/fresh flavoured. Aftertaste shows a great sour and fruity kick with the lemons by far the strongest, along with some yeast funk, a bit of grass and a very easy-drinking beer. Overall, a very nice berliner weiss, similar to the ones that you’d find in Berlin (minus the syrups), but this is a great option, in a can, nonetheless! I sampled this 473 mL (pint?) can purchased from the LCBO on Spadina @ King Street in Downtown, Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 08-August-2016 for CA$3,25 sampled at my hotel in Pape’ete, French Polynesia on 18-August-2016 after lugging this thing literally halfway around the world, but a great drink in the heat of the South Pacific (even in wintertime!).
