Enjoyed on tap at the Loon. Pours a hazed golden colour with an amber hue, white head and good lacing. Belgian Ale yeast nose with fruity malt notes, spices and a little hop. Same for the taste but with the grassy hops showing more, creating some nice bitterness in the finish. Hints of oranges and apples. A very nice refreshing Saison with the rye that is pretty well-hidden.

Enjoyed at the Loon. This Dark Winter Saison pour a deep brown colour with a beige head, minimal retention and lacing. Grassy notes in the nose with yeast, hints of bananas and candies. Bitter tasting Saison with some darker malts in the background, wheat notes and apples lingering. Interesting darker Saison with wheat notes and lots of other fruits. Goes down smoothly for an 8% ABV.

Packaged on FEB 10 2016, so pretty fresh. Pours a clean rich deep amber colour with a light beige frothy head, average stay and some good lacing all-around. Lots of maple, caramel and toffee in the sweet aromas. The taste is thankfully not as sweet, or rich on the tongue. Nice roasted, caramel malts with nuttiness, mild maple, hints of coffee and hops in the aftertaste. Not sure about the butter tarts, but the rest is quite well done and drinkable.

Sampled at Brother’s Beer Bistro. Pours a slightly hazy yellow colour with a white head and light lace. Beautiful nose with perfume, flower notes, spices, sour hints and yeast. Sour taste starts, goes down gradually to show light grain in the finish and yeast in the aftertaste. Mild tarty mouthfeel, light dryness. Quite a pleasant light sour ale with lots going on, and good grain.

This IPA poured a cloudy Amber colour with a big white head. Scents include lots and lots of citrus. Pine and cedar to boot. Smells over the top hoppy. First swig thank God wasn't as hoppy as the nose. Slightly sweet with flavours of pineapple and lemon citrus. Finish is lightly lemony and medium bitter.

(On tap @ Bar Hop, Jan 11 2016) Pours very dark brown with a big medium tan head and lots of lace. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, oranges, mango, dark fruit, dusty yeast, a bit of dark bread. A bit sweet with caramel, orange, banana, bubblegum, a light barnyard hay, a bit of misplaced booze, some astringent and grainy notes with light toast in the finish. Lingering fruitiness and a bit of yeast and dusty notes. Aftertaste of toasty bitter grain. Light-medium body with average carb. Doesn’t really scream saison to me, guessing it was a saison strain used but it feels like a fruity dark Belgian. Not bad at that.
