Draft: Poured a light golden color ale with a small foamy head. Aroma of candy-like flavours with light tea notes is intriguing. Taste is a unique mix between mango, fruity herbal tea with some light wheat bubblegum malt notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Very sweet mix at the end of the day with some refreshing notes.

Bottle: Poured a dark color porter with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light dry bitter coffee notes with some roasted malt. Taste is a mix between some roasted malt notes with light dry coffee and some black chocolate notes. Body is about average with a somewhat creamy texture and some good carbonation. Cereal notes are a bit off but overall this is a pretty standard rendition of the style.

Draft: Poured a dark amber color ale with an average size foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of residual sugar with light rustic malt notes is OK. Taste is a mix of residual sugar with light rustic malt notes and limited ester. Body is about average with good carbonation. Lacking complexity and ester with plain caramel and sugar coming through a bit too much; probably not something I will seek again.

Purchased a mixed 12-pack of "Les Connaisseurs" beers from this brewery. Pours a real dark brown colour with very little red highlights. The creamy-bubbly head is light brown in colour, huge, very long-lasting and fogs all sides with lacing. Beautiful roasted malts at first, then the coffee comes out with notes of chocolate, molasses, dark fruits and vanilla to balance things out. Silky, a bit watery mouthfeel with not much stickiness. The hop comes out in the taste, and it is the one I am not fond of (that makes beer taste rusty). It does calm down after a while and you can only taste it in the finish. Kind of sweet tasting overall with cocoa and even apples. Not really feeling the coffee much here. Still, not bad, but prefer the taste of the Mill Street Coffee Porter (even though different styles - great coffee taste).

It’s alright. There’s a little astringence. A clear colour without much cloudiness. Some nice foamy head. There’s a little bit of something weird going on that I can’t put my finger on but it shouldn’t be there. It’s drinkable, though. Bottle from Peluso’s.

Bouteille 341ml. De couleur brune foncée et voilée. Nez de malt sucré genre sucre brun et caramel (notes de butterscotch), de levures fruitées (raisins, notes de prunes, traces de bananes) légèrement épicées avec des notes de chocolat , de houblon herbeux, d’alcool et de noix. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture aux petites notes crémeuses. Goût de levures fruitées (prunes, moyen de raisins, traces de figues et de bananes) et légèrement épicées (poivre doux, traces de cannelle) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de caramel butterscotch avec notes de toffee rôti, un léger goût de sucre brun et de pain grillé puis en finale l’on retrouve un léger goût d’alcool réchauffant accompagné d’une légère amertume de houblon herbeux aux notes florales. Post-goût moyen-long, léger-moyen amer d’alcool doux, de houblon herbeux avec un goût de levures fruitées (pelures de prunes, traces de moût de raisins) avec des notes de noix grillées.

Hazy yellow colour with a big white head. Citric, spicy and sweet wheat aroma. Maybee a bit too much lemon in the flavour. And a bit to sweet. Otherwish fresh and ncie.

Purchased a mixed 12-pack of "Les Connaisseurs" beers from this brewery. Pours a clean copper colour with a huge fomay tanned head that stays very long and with wavy-soapy lace. The nose is quite mild with raisins and notes of rust from the hop. Oily mouthfeel and medium-bodied. Dark fruit flavours with a light grassy background. Starts sweet but does not get overly syrupy. Just a tad too mild overall, which makes this Dubbel a little forgetting compared to other Quebec brews of the same style. Also, a bit light for a Dubbel.

So, only in their description do they say this is a hefeweizen, but written in big "Blanche" which is usually a witbier (but no mention of coriander, nor orange peel). Pours a cloudy blonde with a frothy white head that goes down averagely and leaves foam. Lemony wheat aromas, but mild. Slight sourness at the beginning of the taste, but falls flat. Maybe a bit of yeast. Not much here. Kind of different because of the confusion with the name, but a bland weird hefeweizen.
