Description
Brew Age is a young and innovative company taking old brewing traditions and developing them further. The newly created beers and beer styles are then to offer new impressions and flavours to the beer expert and the beer newbie alike.
We went through various scenarios in our heads: our own brewery vs. gypsy brewing, establishing a brand and, most importantly, developing recipes. Finally we settled on the concept of gypsy brewing. Following an intense search for a partner brewery, we finally managed to start our cooperation with Reinhold Barta at Brauhaus Gusswerk. Today, we still brew our beers at Gusswerk, and in a way you can call us sedentary gypsy brewers: in contrast to classic gypsy brewers, who produce their beer (or have it produced) at various breweries, we brew our beers almost exclusively at Gusswerk, strictly according to our own specifications. For the near future, we are planning to build our own brewery in Vienna.

Head gone to rim in seconds; hazy golden-yellow beer. Intense grapey hops' nose, lunaria, nectarine, bit cilandro. Lots of citrus & citruspeel, some asafoetida. Again green herbs, lunaria, citrus and white grapes. Faint resiny lupulin. Quite hopoilslick, well-carbonated, viscous and creamy both. Long lasting flavours. Not half bad, good NEIPA - the kind we like! Txs to Stef!

Small if dense & persistent just off-white head over hazy, well-carbonated orange beer. Slight oxydation, grains & toasted malts, lupulin, rosewater, cookie malts. Bitterish-herbal, again toast with a good deal of restsugars but finish keeps a resiny, slightly harsh bitter. Very slick, oily, even creamy feel. Well-carbonated; at least medium bodied. Oxydation more than probably from the ingredients, sample very fresh. All in all, certainly OK. Txs to Stef!

Bottle at home, cellared this one for 2 years. Pours copper with an off-white head. Nose is caramel, toffee, booze, bready malts and a hint of chocolate. Taste is sweet caramel, booze, toasted malts, biscuit, light chocolate and dark sugar. Closes with a long lasting, warming and boozy, sweet finish, has a big, viscous body with soft carbonation. Not too complex perhaps, but thoroughly enjoyable and actually better than it was the last time I had it.
