(Bottle) Pours dark brown with no head. Pleasant aroma of dark roast grain with smoky hints. Medium body with good fine carbonation. Dark toffee, burnt sugar, black coffee bitterness. Subtle sweetness. Nice bitterness in finish. Good beer.

(On tap) Clear golden with big white head. Pleasant aroma. Light body with good bright carbonation. Good bitterness; in fact quite surprisingly bitter. Some pleasant notes of biscuit malt to balance. Very drinkable.

Tap at Japan Brewer's Cup 2019. Amber-orange, clear. Biscuits, caramel, pine and citrus in the nose. Sweet, caramel, pine and orange. Very old school IPA from the 90s. Crisp and decent but a bit too late.
