Description
We have always been driven to craft the best beer we can, and (in our opinion) the true challenge, consistency. Constant innovation is exciting and engaging, but consistent core beers that you can always depend on, is a challenge that equally drives us.

Our approach to beer development is different than most. We outline the desired finished product, it’s appearance, aroma, mouthfeel and then reverse engineer the ingredients and processes to get our desired final product. Knowing and understanding not just individual ingredients characteristics, but how they interact with each other make this possible.

Poured up on tap at GABF 2012 with a clear gold body that supports an off white head of foam that leaves behind just a little bit of spotty lacing. The aroma offers up some citrus hops that consist of a little grapefruit and tangelo and then maybe a touch of malt sweetened tropical fruit. The taste is sort of grapefruity bitter and a little bit of an earthy orange peel note. It maintains hop bitterness where a touch of hop flavor seems to show up from time to time with faint whispers of malt sweetness way off in the background. Pretty good IPA.

Slightly hazed orange-amber pour with a medium white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of biscuit malt and hops. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, bready malt and dried fruits. The finish is caramel malt up front with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

This brew pours a clear copper-orange color with a medium thick and frothy white head that diminishes slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malt, floral hops and citrus. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, hops, and fruit. The finish is sweet with a lingering malty aftertaste. Above average all around.

Draught at Naked City, Seattle
Hazy amber color, with creamy and persistent head. Nice aroma of yellow fruits, from the hop, mango and peach, some sweat too. Good body strength; good caramel flavor, not too chewy; very powerful hopping, more resiny than fruity.
Powerful and good IIPA, not a surprise anymore.

On tap for Hard Liver '12, pours an opaque dark orangey amber with a small tan head. Aroma of dried fruits (dates, apricots, macaroons), and caramel malts. Flavour of dry toasted bread, subtle dark fruits, liqueur, hops and lots of booze. ABV is not well-concealed - medium-bodied and medium complexity. Decent.

Can. Big, grassy, dirty hops in the nose and on the palate. Earthy flavors, with dry caramel and fruit. English malt character with big hops flavor, though not in the typical West Coast way. Little to no citrus. The overall the feeling is dry and restrained. Nice.

Tap at Brouwer’s. Pours medium orange with a fine white head. Mild fruity, lightly sour aroma. Flavor is lightly fruity, lightly spicey and somewhat lightly earthy. Not strongly flavored. But a nice drink.

On tap at TCBF, pours clear copper orange. Aroma of hops, grapefruit, and caramel malts. Flavour of heavy caramel malts, citrus hops and a bit of a cloying fruity sweetness. Needs more hops and less sweetness, but still a good one.

On tap at TCBF, pours golden / copper. Generic hoppy flaovur, quite muted, with citrus and a decent caramel malty backbone. Alright.

Can courtesy of bvc. Pours clear copper with tan head. The aroma is full floral and spicy hops to go along with some resiny pine hops and black tea off in the background. The taste is just as spicy and pine resiny as the nose drumming up a pleasing flavor sensation with the help of some malts, earthiness and black tea.
