My favorite Mad Anthony brew of the evening. Golden amber body, topped by a thin white head. Aroma was lively pine. Flavor was a nicely balanced interplay of pine cones and grapefruit citrus. A touch of malt balance kept the palate smooth. I would have enjoyed a pint of the Ol Woody, although I am disturbed by drinking the pairing of "Ol Woody" and "Harry Baals" Irish Stout.

A golden-copper Oktoberfest. Very light, malty aroma. Flavor of sweet malts and perhaps some light fruit. Again, very thin-bodied, a theme consistent among Mad Anthony beers. Not too bad though.

Ahh! Raspberry syrup! Where's the beer? Ruby Raspberry was a reddish-brown beer with an off-white head. Aroma and flavor were raspberry syrup; no more, no less. Again I ask, where's the beer? Apparently it is difficult to make a good raspberry ale.

The Fort Wayne tasting moved to Mad Anthony's after several opening volleys. I found this stout to be very watery. Poured chesnut brown with an off-white head. Slight roasted aroma. Flavor was of roasted malts, with some chocolate. Very much on the order of Guinness (I can still see bigbadbear63 shuddering at that comment...). Very drinkable even though a bit thin for my tastes.

Draft. Kudos to the Carlos O’Kelly’s in Ft. Wayne for supporting a local beer! Color is yellow, with just a little bit of haze. A big citrusy smell that I couldn't separate from the slice of lemon on the glass, but I catch lemon and maybe a pineapple note. Malt is very prominent with a kind of peppery spiciness from the hops. A slight yeastiness as it warms up. Actually a tad heavy for a “summer” beer, but zesty and refreshing.

Draft. Kudos to the Carlos O’Kelly’s in Ft. Wayne for supporting a local beer! This has an interesting brown color, nearly ochre; or, auburn if you will. The glass had little head left by the time my server brought it. It has a spicy body that goes beyond the usual “amber.” Extra malty, but not roasty (except in the smell), with kind of an orangey note. The hop profile comes in midway through, reminiscent of a pale ale with cinnamon and maybe some grapefruit.
