An orange beer with a small disappearing off-white head. The aroma is of alcohol, peaches, and other fruits. The flavor has strong notes of peach, and the alcohol burns the mouth, but at the same time the mouthfeel is smooth, and the end dry. Nice one.

An unclear red-brown beer with a dying head. The aroma is sweet woody combined with some spices. The flavor is dry woody with lots of berries combined with some malt sweetness.

A hazy red-orange beer with a disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of alcohol and lots of fruit - especially peach, but also some woody notes - reminds me of a sherry. The flavor is of anise, wood fruit - especially over ripe, cinnamon, and alcohol, that burns the mouth. The end is dry from a combination of wood and hops.

[Sampled 1 and 1½ years old] An amber beer with a disappearing, but lacing off-white head. The aroma is sweet with alcohol being most dominant, but also lesser notes of fruit - especially peach - and wood. The flavor contains notes of anise, wood, fruit - just on the edge of being over ripe, as well as cinnamon. And in the background the alcohol gives you warmth and it ends up giving a slight burn.

[Sampled 2 and 2½ years old] A dark red-brown beer with a huge chocolate-brown head. The aroma is sweet and slightly acidic with notes of chocolate, coffee, malt, and alcohol - nice - but a little too much alcohol for my liking. The flavor is sweet with lots of roated malt combined notes of chocolate, and coffee, as well hints of alcohol - which is more present in the mouthfeel, where it burns the tongue. The end is pretty hoppy which together with the roasted malt and coffee gives it a bitter end, though with the alchol making a clear presence. Surprisingly this is a bit over the top giving it some sour hints - but still a solid brew.

[Sampled twice 3 and 3½ years old] An unclear orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is rather hoppy with some alfa acid and oranges as well as a slight sourness. The flavor is somewhat sour - probably the age - but also malty and quite hoppy - the hops still bites the tongue though. The body is quite thick with some impression from the alcohol. Just as the 3rd and 4th anniversarys, this is clearly over its prime, but still a good brew - I’d have loved to taste it fresh.

[Sampled October 2004, 4 years old] An unclear orange-yellow beer with a yellow head. The aroma is sweet and quite hoppy - a lot more so than the 3rd anniversary - and quite hoppy for a 4 year old beer. The flavor is sweet and somewhat aged, with clear hoppy and grassy notes - nice for a 4 year old beer - would have loved to taste this fresh. Thanks to cquiroga for sharing this rarity.

[Sampled October 2004, 5 years old] Huge thanks to cquiroga for sharing this gem. An unclear amber beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of alcohol and overripe fruit. The flavor is also quite sweet and again with alcohol and overripe fruit, prunes and peaches coming thru. An OK brew - but impossible to tell it is (was) and IPA - now it is more like a Barley Wine.

Deep ruby hue with medium head of large, foamy bubbles - aroma is mostly clove and the ever so familiar belgian yeast with hints of fruity esters - flavor is an odd mixture of chocolate, liquorice, light spice and lingering hoppiness - most of these flavors should work well together, but don’t - each struggles for dominance instead of existing in harmony - perhaps when 12.12.12. comes around this will be more balanced - for now it is just so so.
