330ml bottle shared with blackhaddock in his beer cave. Pours dark with a good pale tan head. Roasty aroma greeting you on the nose. Good roasty stout overall, with prominent malt grain, medium to light bodied.. decent.

21st June 2023, new region and rare beer tasting with minutemat (and a sample for Grumbo) at my place. Cheers Shirley for bringing this bottle back for me (one of four different Japanese beers): BB 12th November 2023. Decent enough Stout, usual black body, tanned topping. Malty, roasted malty, mild coffee esters and flavours.

Morning Saunner (I think they mean sauna) Pilsner 5% 28 IBU Matte gold with a crisp grainy aroma. Light bodied and very crisp and dry. Lemongrass or lemon/lime citrus on a very clean beer. I wanted to try this as I love hot springs and I’ve gotta say it was really nice. A crisp thirst quenching summer lager. 500¥ @ Hanshin department store

very frothy white head. Turbid golden amber color. Juicy nose with oj, mangos and stone fruit notes. Not that dank. Low medium carbonation, smooth juicy mouth that is slight tart and full of fruit but big bitterness for the style. With bitterness clinging. Not sure how much I like that, but overall I think this is pretty good.

hazy golden amber color. No head. Slightly herbecous nose with light tartness from the plum. Low carbonation and plum and herb character is there but really lacks the tartness I would hope for. Pretty mediocre with something that could have been very good

Tap at Before 9. Bright, glowing gold. Hazy. Big, sweet malt, wheat, biscuits, lemony hops. Very discuity flavor, fruity and sweet with wheat and peaches and lemon. Not all that kolsch-like but nice.

Bottle shared. Deep brown, almost black, and flat. Nose is smoke, peat notes, coffee, iodine, chocolate. Islay-like, big but not quite huge smoke. flavor is smoky, a bit light overall, with chocolate. Body is somewhat light for 14%. Pretty tasty but could use some tweaking.

super turbid white golden color. Lots of melon and orange juice. Tart but doesn’t have the body I want. Low medium bitterness. Good tartness Really nice

Tap at Japan Brewers Cup 2020. Hazy deep golden color. Big juicy hops, orange, tropical. Body is a bit thin, but aat least not too heavy and thick. Decent.
