About
At Hudson Valley Brewery, we like to think of our beer as the product of a wide variety of influences. Like the Hudson Valley itself, we believe the beers we create stand somewhere between the rural and the urban, the traditional and the modern, the rustic and the industrial. Our brewing techniques are inspired by the brewing practices of traditional European breweries as well as the more aggressive, experimental practices of American breweries. We brew the beer we love to drink, which like the Hudson Valley itself, is always changing.

Draught at Haymaker, 6/11/17
Quite hazy, bright blonde-golden with a medium-sized, white head showing moderate to moderately-low retention.
Papaya, light pine and strong pineapple in the nose with low yeast and light bread/biscuit through the middle. Not bubblegummy/heavily estery and with a good tropical character, but also some definite aggressive notes via Azacca and mosaic. Good aromatics, though and not too resinous on the finish (though there is some present). No alcohol noted, nor flaw.
Papaya, lemon, pineapple and a growing pine presence that is carried on by a fairly tight carbonation and soft, malty texture. Good attenuation and clean, with no yeast or alcohol. There is some definite resinous character building up and the Azacca and/or Mosaic contributes a bit too much sharpness and general dry grapefruit and bitter pine-like acidity. Still, it’s a great texture and nicely-carbonated with appropriate attenuation, so you can’t be too mad.

A hazed golden ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light peaches, light vanilla, light acidity, very nice. In mouth, a very puckering peach juice, light mineral notes, light passion fruit, very nice. On tap at Rattle N Hum East.

Keg at Cooper’s - NYC. With Bruce. Pours hazy yellow with a light, foamy white head. Clean, tart and drying, with nice lemony character. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation. Finishes clean and dry and quenching, with more refreshing tartness, a dash of salt, faint peach. Great stuff. Super drinkable.
