Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of beige foam that lingers. Boozy nose with prune, plum and berry aromas. Lots of bourbon, maple syrup and vanilla on the nose. Some roasty notes as well. Bitter on the palate yet also sweet. Creamy mouthfeel. Finish has some lingering heat. A bit of a throw everything at the wall approach, but enjoyable. --- Beer merged from original tick of The Ultraviolence on 10 Mar 2018 at 21:08 - Score: 7

Bottle shared at THT. Black with dark beige head. Creamy maple, blackberries, booze, dark chocolate, light vanilla, bourbon, red wine, weird spices. Over medium sweet, medium bitter and under medium sour. Over medium bodied with light dry, boozy and puckering finish. A bit all over the place but not bad.

Can at Lucky Bamboo bottle share. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of cream head that lingers. Big milk chocolate aromas with bourbon, vanilla and hazelnut aromas. Sweet on the palate, liquid fudge flavors with vanilla cream and light coffee aromas. Some light oak as it warms. Finish is sweet with oaky vanilla and milk chocolate notes. Some bourbon there, but booze is hidden quite well. --- Beer merged from original tick of 10th Anniversary Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout on 27 Jan 2018 at 17:48 - Score: 8

Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a pale burnt yellow almost bronze color with a finger and a halfs worth of white foamy head that concaved nicely to leave some messy foamy clingy lace.
The aroma had some sweet lemon pulp, sweet pine, bready malts with a touch of floral sweet hop quality at the end.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side enveloping the piney hops and bready malts. Aftertaste was the sweet along with the bitter and having a little bit of toast coming inside. Finishes with a little bit of lemon hop burn which I wasnt entirely fond of.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, for the most part, its a decent APA but the finish I didnt care for.
