The color is near black, with brownish creamy head. Immediate aroma of oak, later with light sourness. Good body strength, smooth mouthfeel, although maybe too much carbonated; dark chocolate and roasted malt flavor, moderate sweetness, mix of sweet and roasted nuts, strong vanilla from the oak, a touch of liquorice and a hint of tobacco; correct bitterness; vague sourness in the final; overall it’s balanced.
Good beer, gets some mark because of the power, but not fully convincing on the harmony.

Black color with small beige head. Mild, nice aroma of roasted malt, fire oven baked bread, bourbon, vanilla; mellow. Smooth and round mouthfeel; dark caramel and roasted malt flavor, medium sweet, with no burnt or ash presence luckily; strong vanilla (bourbon) character. Correct bitterness.
With this strong bourbon presence it becomes a bit monodimensional; but it’s very good.

Highly carbonated, with lean body; rather dry mouthfeel; the flavor is mild, some wheat, white bread; the bitterness is very low; there is a touch of banana in the final, and maybe some plastic. No spices.
Simple and not complying to the self definition of Belgian Wit.
I appreciate the banana and the bread, but it lacks of character.

Cloudy/murky blond color. Mild bready aroma. Not too dry, with easy malt profile, mild acidity, and nice Nelson Sauvin presence. Very nice.

Muddy blond color with a possible orange shade, compact head. The aroma is fresh and pungent, comes through as yuzu. Good body (not thin); the mouthfeel is reasonably dry; very light malt crispness, crackers; the acidity is mild, controlled; not the typical Nelson Sauvin footprint, more citrus fruit than tropical, yuzu, lemon peel, cedar; correct bitterness, leading to some ending astringency.
Very good; refreshing; would even be better if it can get a cleaner flavor.

It takes time to get some aroma; finally it develops a delicate malt and yeast combination, with hints of paper and medium chocolate, biscuits, nuts and breakfast cereals; it literally goes from 5 to 7. The mouthfeel is smooth, also rather dry; the mild caramel flavor has a dusty impression, and at some point there is even a light trace of hazelnuts; as promised the esters are very low; correct bitterness; the structure of the final is weaker.
Clean, balanced, but not very expressive; I’m not used to the paper/dust presence.

Smooth, dry, maybe overly carbonated; the pale malt flavor is nice, although necessarily overwhelmed by the strong hopping; good bitterness level, with nice Sorachi Ace qualities, that are better blended and less aggressive and less focused on just the lemon than other beers, and therefore more seducing.
In this incarnation, the Sorachi Ace delivers impressions of lemon cake.

cloudy blond color. Delicate aroma, mild bread and lacto. Smooth, but served too cold; the bready malt flavor is too light, and the bitterness, just a tad too much, covers it.
Probably it would be more Kölsch and more interesting if less bitter

Deep blond color with small compact head, short lived. At first there is some fresh aroma of tropical fruits, later followed by mild animal character, light grass and honeycomb. The mouthfeel is dry and lean, not weak; the malt flavor is special, bread, biscuit, dry toffee and honey; strong bitterness; some grass in the end (positive), but also some pungent thing in the back of the throat (3.5).
This would be a very free interpretation of a Kölsch, a good and interesting beer in any case.

The mouthfeel is lean, off-dry, with just the required minimal amount of residual sugars; caramel flavor, very light bready touch. Correct bitterness although in the late final there is an impression of vegetables.
Clean.
This could be sold in Düsseldorf without shame.

Black color, small brownish head. The bourbon dominates the aroma and flavor, boozy as well, and the base beer doesn’t have enough to tell, not enough body or character to balance the spirit. Strong roasty notes. Off-dry.
Unbalanced, not the best batch.

black color with dark brown borders and brown small head. Mild aroma, there is some chocolate, roasted malt and wood/barrel; light manure. Lean mouthfeel, partially smooth, off-dry for an Imperial Stout; strong flavor of roasted malt, undesired liquorice, some dark chocolate, a bit salty, and some barrel. Correct bitterness.
A good beer, but a bit messy, unclassy, and in 2014 more is expected from a BA Imperial Stout. Difficult to drunk the full glass.

Black color with frothy but persistent brownish head. Mild aroma of roasted nuts, vanilla, wood, whiskey. Smooth mouthfeel; lean and good chocolate flavor, moderate sweetness, some vanilla and tobacco; correct bitterness.
Balanced, elegant and very appreciated.

On tap at Brassneck, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out some funky herbl notes, with tangy hops, and potent barnyard. Flavour is very similar, bringing out the tangy hops, exquisite farmhouse notes, barnyard funk, and somewhat of a herbal quality. Very complex in all respects. Finishes funky and tangy, with considerable hop punch. Excellent stuff - a successful experiment.
