On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear blonde with no head. Nose brings out lots of the white wine barrels, with light metallic notes, and oak. Flavour is loaded with vanilla upfront, with subdued Zinfandel, and cereal malt. Confused and lacking clarity or complexity. Meh.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark brown with a tiny head. Aroma is absent on the barrels that were supposedly used here, with toasted malt and a hint of honey. Flavour is along the same lines, with light honey, toasted malt and light oak. Lightly sweet, without much oak. Okay.

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with little head. Aromas of sweet cherry chocolate. Flavors follow same but very much artificial cherry/vanilla extract.

On tap. Pours black with full creamy tan head. Aromas of milk chocolate, mocha, and nutty roasted malts. Flavors of rocky road ice cream, nuts, sweet vanilla and smooth roasted malts. Clean. Quite good.

@ St. Aug's. Dark brown. Thin head. Nose is quite coffeeish and so is the palate...one dimensional with the nutty coffee thing bit hey, done well.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma reveals rich espresso upfront, followed by a touch of toasted nuts and roasted malt. Flavour brings out a nice mix of espresso and toasted hazelnuts - really in quite good harmony. Dry, roasted body, finishing with equal parts coffee and hazelnut. Very good.

St Augs. Hazy dull amber. Thin head. Earthy, toasty hop and sweetish, slightly caramelly malt. Decent pale, the malts are a touch sticky and the hops not super bright but on the whole it's civilized.

Tap at R&B. Suntan lotion nose of sweet, greasy coconut. Oily, thick, cloying and perfumy coconut and a bit of orange. Don't get any weizen. Gross. Too sweet and perfumy.

Cloudy golden color. The coconut is very creamy, a bit artificial, buttery; it's delicate and more appreciated in the aroma, more evident and obtrusive in the flavor. The final has a vegetable note.
