"Ettaler Heller Bock", Fläschchen aus dem Klosterladen Ettal, verkostet 17.6.2025 im Direktvergleich mit dem Berchtesgadener Böckei. - Helles Goldbraun, klar. - In der Nase breites helles Malz mit tiefer Süße, Anklänge an Honig und robuste wenngleich gedämpfte orangenbittere Hopfung. - Antrunk kernig gerstig hellmalzig und lebhaft herbal hopfenherb. Erfreulich dezente Süße. Nur mild rezent, vollmundig; solide kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang immer noch sehr aromatische, robuste Hopfenherbe mit kühlenden minzigen Zügen. - Frisch und aromatisch gehopfter heller Bock, eine sehr angenehme Überraschung.

Deep brown mahogany pour from .5 l bottle. Thin white lacing. Roasted malts and bread, soem caramel and chocolate. Nicely done.

Bottled. Poured dark dark brown. Raisiny nutty aroma, smallish head. Nice, dark and delicious. Alcohol wasn’t overpowering.

500 ml bottle. Honey gold pour. Large, frothy white head. Earthy malt aroma hints at rustic bread. Flavor is light and fruity. Subtle maltiness and herbal hops. Soft, clean and dry finish.

Bottle. Pours a dark gold colour with a tight white head, plenty of hops and fruit in the aroma, the taste is medium bitterness with a dry bitter fruit finish.

Bottle. OMG!! This is my new favorite beer!! You take the best elements of all doppelbocks and add a touch of the great abt/quadruples and this is what you get. Wonderful dark color with a slightly sweet flavor that reminds me of Christmas, (Must be the time of the year). Ok, I pray this one stays in our area. I believe I might be drinking it for years to come. This one is WAY underrated. Highly recommended . (Rerated Because I had better beers since)

Bottle. Chestnut brown with a large head. Aroma is a nutty, malty fare with hints of grains and a whiff of dried fruit. Taste is slightly sweet up front with roasted grains in the middle and a mellow finish.

Klare bräunlich, leicht rötliche Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger Geruch mit Anklängen an Trockenfrüchten. Geschmacklich malzig mit Trockenfrüchten und Karamell, Schokolade schimmert durch. Hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.
