Pale amber with a slight haze, and small head. Sweet, with a slight fruitiness, some alcohol…kind of a clunk. Absolutely one of the hardest styles to make. If Ettaler flunks out like this, damn.

Bottle from the Packie Dark copper color with a decent sized off white head that persists. Rich bready toasty maltiness with huge raisin and fig and an earthy spicy hop to counter. Pretty nice and I had no clue this was 9% abv.

Bottle from the Packie. Pours a deep copper color with a decent sized off white head that persists. Rich toasty bready maltiness with light dried fruits and hints of earthy spicy hopes to counter. Nice Dunkel.

New German brewery for me. Chestnut colored. Nose is brown sugar and dark fruits. Tastes of cherry, molasses, caramel, licorice, berry. Smooth palate. Some booze.

Dark brown with caramel highlights and a medium beige head. Sweet with raisin, fig, molasses and a hint of tobacco. Long finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth

Caramel malt and hay aroma. Hazy amber with moderate head. Moderately sweet caramel malt and lightly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Very nice.

Bottle from the Inn at Home online store. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Nose is toffee, orchard fruit, raisin, sultana, cola. Very similar action in the flavour. Sweet malty finish.
