On tap. A clear golden beer with a white head. Aroma of spicy golden malt, grains. Taste of mild grainy malt, spicy malt, moderate floral hops.

Pfaffen Bier original, 4,9 %, Fläschchen (MHD: 3/20) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Dunkel goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase mild brotig-süßliches, zart karamelliges Malz, milde Zitrusfrucht, schwache herbale Herbe, leichte ranzig-abgestandene Züge. - Antrunk satt brotig malzsüß mit ranzig-muffiger Hefe. Milde aber aromatische herbale Hopfung, Kamille, Orangenschale. Durchschnittlich rezent. Im Abgang nur milde, leicht muffige Bittere. - Solide malziges, mild aber aromatisch gehopftes Bier, das Kölsch-typisch kaum obergärige Aromen aufweist. Wäre ohne die ranzige Hefenote deutlich besser. (1.2.2020.)

Aroma is crisp, zesty hops with some floral notes, as well as pale malts with white bread and hay. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is crisp, zesty hops with lemon and floral notes, as well as pale malts. Very close to pilsner, with just a touch of kölschner floral notes.
