Tall boy can, thanks to Kev for sharing. Pours hazed orange gold with beige foam. Plenty funky. Peachy brett, oaky, white wine vibes. Clean & dry. Medium body with average carbonation. Very tidy indeed.

It's been years since I had a Yama-Bushi! I didn't know they made smaller bottles, that's great for me as a tourist in Budapest. As funky as expected, tons of cognac barrel presence. A niche beer as always.

Bottle. Grassy, cooked cabbage nose is quite unpleasant. Flavor is better, with citrus, spicy yeast, light malt, herbs. Smells bad but tastes ok. Still, not up to their usual standard.

Deep orange brown with big bubbles of beige foam. This thing is bitter and very oaky with a touch of tar in the finish. Medium bodied and smooth.
Good but a wildly different beast than the original Shiga House IPA.

Bottle. Pitch black with a tall, tan head. Nose is cocoa, fruit, rye bread, coffee. Light body and flavor. Dry, bitter, with coffee, dark chocolate, and a touch of licorice. Bitter, woody, and slightly burnt finish. I guess it's an ale. Pretty nice though nothing mind-blowing.

A sweet balanced aroma on a beautiful golden body with thick dense foam. It has a really lovely crisp flavor and was gone in a flash.

Big barrel tons of whiskey, burnt raisins, prunes, brown sugar, stewed apricots. Very full body. The cognac character is so well pronounced. Super full body and warming. Perfectly integrated. Amazing depth. One of the best Japanese beers I’ve had
